already they have moved Evans start time by 4 minutes further
So tomorrow's starting position will be set after this stage?
Disaster for Hyundai...
what the hell Hyundai?
neuville? what's going on with the hyundais...
Well done Tänak! Good starting pos for tomorrow
Yesssssss tÄnak passed Evans and Rovanpera
but his stupid mistake prevents him leading this hugely
True, but rally is long and Ott can do miracles.

So is Neuville out? Or dropped back a bit? I can't get any resultsite to work? Also Lappis car is done I hear, crew ok?
Sordo has been retired
Neuville expected to restart
What a joke that short stage was! Two donuts and a couple corners, done in 46 seconds by Evans

Very funny to read your comments during night ;)
You did cancel 2 stages :) but Mexico only 1.
I think there was some translation issues. One stage got cancelled, Las minas 2 got delayed. Maybe it was expected to cancel but they ran it after all. Not such a big deal as everyone says here.. Lots of crisis maximizers...

I made my post when it was announced that ss8 is cancelled too.
About day one. Ogier again showing why he is the king of this rally, he is so good here and only a technical failure can prevent him winning.
Awesome performance by Suninen too, I really hope he can keep it up today.
Evans did well on his first day as a cleaner, I thought he will be faster on the afternoon loop.
Good recovery from Tänak, shame about the little mistake and that ss8 was cancelled. Didn’t use his good chance to lead this rally and admits it himself to Estonian media.
Rovanperä also very good, Very very good.
About today? I wouldn’t be surprised if there is Toyota 1-2-3 by the end of the day.

At the moment, I don't know more about the problems encountered. In the end, we were without a battery and the car stopped suddenly. We already had an alarm before so we suspected there was a little problem with the alternator or something like that. The car suddenly cut. It is disappointment that prevails. However, I think we did the work from the first stage. We attacked, we had three best times. Despite a position on the road that was not optimal, we were fighting for victory. We'll be leaving on Saturday to try to get points in the Power Stage and for the constructors' classification, "said Thierry Neuville at our microphone.
Before continuing: "With the race facts, there are a few cars that will not start on Saturday. We are still 6th in terms of constructors, these are important points for the team. We know that the rally is tough, the others can also have problems. Today, in any case, the glitches were for us. We will have a better position on the road in the next rallies, we will easily catch those in front of us. " Rtbf
"I don't believe in bad luck (note: Sordo suffered from radiator problems and Tanak went wrong at the start of the day). It's not that nothing is right. we made mistakes today and we're paying the bill. We made mistakes that we shouldn't make if we want to win the world championship. When you see a pipe coming out and a water leak or when a mechanical part breaks, these are things that should not happen, "said Andrea Adamo to our microphone.
"I don't know what happened with Neuville. He was in 3rd position, he had a good race, as he usually does. On Saturday, he will be in the situation where he can attack even more. Maybe that it won’t work. I brought the team together because it’s important to talk and say things to each other. Was it to encourage them or to put things right? Sometimes I feel alone and I don’t I need no one around me, "said the director of Hyundai Motorsport.

No belief in Tänak? :D Boy was flying out there yesterday. Do not believe him saying that he is not comfy in his car. Times are showing that it can’t be that bad. Some changes in service and we are going to have some fun out there.
My prediction after Saturday
Ogier
Tänak +20
Evans +25

Last but not least... you have been asking about the dog crossing the road in front of us today and I’m happy that he’s OK! I didn’t hit him and the #WRCLive production confirmed that he was seen running around by the helicopter crew. Thanks @Becsywecsy
for the confirmation
Like he was saying himself. He was not really flying, just using his starting position. And even doing that, Ogier was able to be competitive with him. Nothing special.
And clearly, he feels uncomfortable in the car. Like most people starting out in Hyunday.
this!
and like krissucool said, Ott was very honest in the interview that he had the starting pos. advantage yesterday and didnt sound very confident for today.
i expect Evans to be very fast today with better road position and im also afraid of M-sport cars, they have had overheating problems since stage 1 here.
Will we see Neuville take a road penalty to drop between Evans and Tänak in order to make Evans and Rovanperä have a worse road position? Neuville is 40 minutes behind, he has no chance to get back onto the championship points.
Tanak and Evans are the favourites for P2 but Suninen is doing a great job so far; it’d be great seeing him on the final podium, giving MSport staff a mood boost after yesterday misfortune. Fingers crossed.
Btw, why is Kajto so behind?
Difficult to see anyone beating Ogier on pace, but 2nd - 5th should be a good race...
