Like I said before, punctures didn't came from nowhere
Likewise not every time he has problems it is his own fault. This goes both ways you know?
And yes, I think we all hoped for more consistency from him, but let's be honest, he does have the pace occasionally, and the balls that everyone talked about a while ago (or courage as it is known in plain english) he has in abundance.
He can't of course blame a lack of experience forever so it is soon time to rack up some solid performances but I have to admit that I am impressed with what he occasionally achieves.

Elfyn Evans (1st) said:
"We seemed to lose a lot of time in one section. It was particularly greasy through that stretch of road and very hard to predict the grip because the mud would carry on for three or four corners. We'll have a good look at it to try and understand why that was the case.
"We had a clean run, which is the main thing, and we need to remember that this is a very long and difficult rally. There's a long way to go, but it's great to see that we're still here and in contention for what could be a very strong result.
"Even though we were

WRC+ timing has two cars starting at the same time:)
VW's getting ahead by split 1 ...
Would just love to drive this stage... awesome !
101km/h average for Neuville
103 km/h for Ogier
not bad splits from Lefebvre at the begging... lets see...
JML had some gearshift problem in SS6...
Evans now faster then Mikkelsen on splits !
Not bad... just 2 sec off Latvala going into Sunday. :)
SS6: "It was difficult to find the confidence in that one, but again, the time was pretty good! It's all still to play for and we will do the best we can and just see where we find ourselves.."
Abbring, Bouffier and Sarazzin not on the pace here, even behind Neuville on the splits.
Very nice run by Evans... nice battle tomorrow for the 3rd place. Lets see who of the youngsters wants it more.
Will Kubica try and make a mistake tomorrow as well or it is over ?
Great to see two Brits in the Top 4 now ! :D

Pathetic that the day is over by mid afternoon! What about a night stage or 2?
Most people do agree with you... I don't understand how FIA and the promotor allow these kind of things, like a rally with only 9 stages... 2 are cancelled and now we end up with some kind of rally-sprint. The stages are longer, but for the fans (both at home and on stages) it's nicer to follow events that have more (shorter) stages...
Seems like some people have forgotten that this whole event is a compromise situation due to the money falling through in Alsace. There wasn't the time or money to pull together a full scale event in Corsica. Alternative would have just been to cancel the French round.
The biggest question for me is what is being done about next year?
If they don't have money to organize a proper WRC round it would be better to not organize at all, and leave the calendar slot to some other country. The problem of 14 events next year would have been solved too then...
The days have felt very short indeed. With shorter stages it’s more intense to follow a rally. If no other cancelation occurs, 26% of stages has been cancelled, which is only 74% of completed stages so…. only 50% of points?
Apparently Capito mentioned something about being back on Corsica in 6 months. So maybe end of April/start of May next year.
What happened to Tidemand again?
