Great rally overall with some spectacular stages.... the WRC needs more events like these.

Flat Out Hyundai :D
Why?

Very exciting rally is finished! I enjoyed it very much. Although the ''Master'' won it again, the gaps very close, it proved to be an interesting event.
Few facts which I want to share : except Evans all top drivers finished the rally. With the speeds, outside temperatures, jumps....the WRC cars are not that piece of crap.
The men of the past three days : Ott Tanak. If he will continue with this speed in Finland, top three finish is reachable for him.
Hayden Paddon impressed once more, I didn't think he will be able to carry on with his dominant show from Italy. Very good indeed!
Neuville - starting to lose ground under his feet. I think he sees Hayden constantly in his nightmares.....
Rober Kubica; the local boy....well, I'm a bit disappointed with you guys, nobody said nothing about his performance this weekend. After all guy finished the rally (what a success!!), didn't have any ''journey'' into the woods&lawns; he beat fair & square Sordo, Ostberg and almost Meeke.
Talking about Meeke - I still expected more from him. I know that a roll on SD brings little to driver's self-confidence, but he is a pro and during this event he was totally lost.
Sordo; sub-average event for him. Finland should be better for him, at least I hope so.
yes that is the one... great rally but needs better marshalling i think.
I was there, Ott was crazy!!
There were not enough marshalls, maybe 1 in 200-300 meters.

i will be walking around with a huge smile on my face the next couple of days. Wanted to see earlier this kind of performance but i think it was the right decision from the team and Tänak to learn in the first half of the season and start to push in the second half.
Tänak, Ogier, Mikkelsen, Paddon and Kubica the drivers for me this rally. I agree with N.O.T, we need more rallies like these and the drivers loved it too. Cant comment the organizing.
Cant wait for Finland now where Tänak has always been very fast and its like home event for us estonians. And im also there :)
Meeke didn't want to crash again. If you are careful in such fast events you loose more time than in other rallys. Same with Latvala for example.
I'm sure in Finland Kris will be in good shape like last year. That's what happen if you are one of the most fast driver in the world but still a human being.
If you are not human like we know who you don't have these kind of problems.
I know 100% that Škoda has reasonably more powerful engine than all other R5. They have been struggling with setups but it seems they are going in a good way. Morever to date there has been only one mechnical retirement from nineteen starts and that one was caused by a faulty battery. That is pretty awesome record for R5 car. Everything suggests that other manufacturers will face hard times and in this moment their biggest luck is that Škoda is very slow with delivering new cars (afaik due to difficulties with suppliers). Let's see what others can do with their jokers. I'm sure they don't sleep.
Tanak for sure is the man of Poland WRC round. Will be so nice to visit Finland for the 15 th time since 1999. Also looking forward to see what Paddon will do. He has grown a lot lately.
i dont know if you can watch this outside of estonia but this is the end of SS16 where Tänak said the F word about VW

wd to Robert! not only did he finish it without superrally, he posted very competitive times throughout the event, driven flatout by a lot of people
I think he is starting to realise it's not that easy to win in wrc... no matter how talented you are, it takes time... it took time to all of them...

Lots of folks still a bit niggly about Ogier. I guess it is just frustration at seeing a single person dominate a sport for so long. Schumacher, Loeb etc. It is a little frustrating for fans and does take the mystery out of it a bit. But credit where it is due. Having these very good people and very good teams makes others lift their game just a bit.

I don't think it's domination factor, I loved Loeb era but Ogier annoys me, it's about personality. The difference is Loeb was unbeatable in all conditions and didn't complain about rules or road position all the time, he's a class driver/person. Ogier is arrogant and stresses that in every occasion, complains about rules all the time, eventhough very often that give him advantage, just huge ego.
