FIA have cleared @JariMattiWRC's car for repair. Big discussions within team as to wether repairs are possible! Decision - lets give it a go
What an impressive first day! Good to see some pace from Hyundai, including Neuville proving that it wasn't a fluke with a stage win too. Interesting Sordos comment about needing more power. Given he has driven almost all the current field of factory cars I imagine he would know exactly how much they are behind Citroen and Ford at least.
Great to see Tanak proving he has still got it, I hope this helps to groom him for potentially replacing Mikko later on if he can find some consistency. I imagine his sponsors will be pretty happy with his work so far!
VW won't be so happy, going from 1,2,3 to 3rd and 8th only.
Good to see Mikko picking up and taking his opportunities, but what is going to happen tomorrow? I really hope he can at least have a proper battle with Ogier, rather than his recent tendancy to back down from a fight. I think he needs this to get the confidence just like JML did (not that that has ended well!).
And the weirdest stat for the day that I can see? Hyundai are the only team to have all their cars still on the road at the end of the first day... How odd is that?
Ohh and good on Al-Attiyah for making things interesting in WRC2! I have always thought he was a good driver, but for some reason he never seems to have come to grips with the WRC cars the same way as he has driven WRC2 cars in the past?

So @vwrallytheworld have 3hrs from when the clock starts ticking to repair @JariMattiWRC car. A mini crane and forklift being put in place!
Surely VW make their own roll cage though, so just like M-Sport they are allowed to repair it in some situations? Also, if it's forward of the interior there is a chance it's not safety critical necessarily. So may well mean it's easier to repair, or not as important potentially.
watch the video for stages 4-7 at wrc com, includes crashes from Latvala,Kubica,Evans

That's the crane on the left and the forklift on the right. There's going to be some pushing and pulling going on!!
when are they showing live stages (along with live streams)?
No, Kenneth Eriksson in an Accent WRC was leading the Rally New Zealand in 2001 after the first day: http://www.ewrc-results.com/results....w-Zealand-2001
Of course Eriksson was leading due to tactics, but still he did.
That were real rallies and there were a lot of manufacturers and the level of drivers was much higher than now. It is so predictable, with Meeke, Kubica and Latvala crashing and we know since 10 years the champion even before the WRC season begins...
They switch to Jari's car now and then on the live stream, they just started working on it.
give us a link for live stream mate
thanks mates!
pitty the camera is at back of the car and cant see the mechanics workinghttp://www.4tforum.gr/phpBB3/images/...thumbsdown.gif

Does anybody knows why so many Portuguese drivers retired after last service of the day?

I wish whoever was controlling the live stream would just focus on VW rather than all the empty stalls.
I didn't get why Hänninen got so strange time on SS 4 ?

Did he manage to pass Kubica who blocked the road? Or how it was calculated?
It might be, but i'm just curious HOW it was calculated ? :) What is the formula?
OK, by letting them work all night long with the car it might be ready. But they for sure have been bending and welding quite a lot on that car...
they have 3 hours only.
They calculated somehow with result of re-run a stage. So SS4 times depends SS7 times.
How? I don't know :D

Need a few joker rules for servicing i.e 1 all nighter service per year per car entered.
