Dani Sordo in Rallye Serras de Fafe with Hyundai Motorsport Portugal, good recce for some stages included in the WRC round.
News about Jose Pedro Fontes and Citroën Portugal
Besides Sordo on a Hyundai Motorsport i20, Pedro and Alberto Heller will also be on their Fiestas on CPR opening round, Rali Serras de Fafe.
It's getting better every day: Ricardo Moura (Fabia) and Bernardo Sousa (C3) are also expected to run Rali Serras de Fafe!
Is it the same Bernardo Sousa, who retired from rallying 2 years ago? :)
https://rallysportmag.com/bernardo-s...from-rallying/
“I am closing this chapter of my life. On one hand, I feel some pain, but on the other it is the reality of our country. Honestly, I’m cool,” Sousa said.
Yep, Sousa will be again in Açores to run the local rally series, this time on a C3. Apparently the news about him doing Serras de Fafe were fake, so his first appearance on the new car will be on Rallye Azores (ERC).
Btw, Moura has already tested the Fabia for Serras de Fafe (he’s also expected to run Rallye Azores) and Pedro Almeida, one of the youngest top drivers, has presented today his new Fabia for this year CPR:

Autosport.pt says that Miguel Barbosa will have two different co-drivers this season: Paulo Babo for the gravel events and Jorge Carvalho on tarmac events. Is there any specific reason for this?
Reports in Portugal, that Sébastien Loeb will be at Rali de Mortágua with i20 R5.
Nice entrylist also for the first round of the 2019 Peugeot Cup iberica :)

Do you know if Ruari Bell is on entrylist of the Peugeot Cup Iberica or if he's doing a one-shot in the 208 at Serras de Fafe
That’s not the final list; hopefully some other crews can still be added, including 1 or 2 nice surprises.
Btw, the Loeb rumour was just another fake news from autosport.pt. With so many interesting things to report about this year CPR, some guys are still eagerly looking for wild scoops or nasty polemics...
This is incredible that we have entered the tuesday of the rally's Week(Serras de Fafe), and no seeded entrylist available yet
Welcome to the Portuguese Rally Championship. Couple of years ago, I did a rally that the entrylist was published Thursday (the rally was on Saturday). On Friday one driver was kicked out of a rally in Spain and entered the rally on Portugal without being on the final entrylist... sooooo... all normal here.
Honestly, why bother so much with the final list delay? We already know this rally is going to have a strong entry (over 25 R5’s, including a WRC driver, last year ERC P3 and lots of former or current CPR champs) and that it's always a joy to follow the series debut in Fafe outstanding stages. Besides, in the official site there’s plenty of info for spectators to plan their viewing, including detailed maps and stage roads videos: http://www.demoporto.com/index.php/c...019?Itemid=109
Meanwhile, here’s Miguel Barbosa (nice) livery for 2019:

Yep, we’re about to have a fantastic rally and a pretty good season but we prefer to keep looking at the imperfections and promote all kind of polemics instead of praising the good work done by the vast majority of the people involved in national rallying. That's the spirit I’ll never figure it out…
Yeah, I see that you are a fan! When you get to the other side of the barrier then we will talk again.
And good work and vast majority of people? Yeah, the freaking teams, because the organizers, specially Demoporto and Targa are quite the good jobers!
And you know what, I find it funny that you talk about looking at the imperfections. If people didn't look at them, this world would never evolve...
Regarding the polemics (specially the ones with recce), just like I said, jump the barricade to the other side, you'll understand.
Posto isto! Até sexta feira...
Yep, I’m just a fan but through the years I also had a few experiences from inside, as driver/codriver or marshall, allowing me to realize that almost everyone in this sport has a huge passion for Rally and deserve our respect and tolerance. Besides, before demanding the others to be perfect it’s helpful to remember that we also faill; actually that’s what make us humans.
Até sexta…
Rally Serras de Fafe entry lists:
National (CPR): http://www.fpak.pt/sites/default/fil...icacao_ert.pdf
Regional (CNR): http://www.fpak.pt/sites/default/fil...icacao_cnr.pdf
Sordo is the clear favourite for the win; Magalhães (i20), Moura (Fabia), Araújo (i20), Teodósio (Fabia), Meireles (Polo), Fontes (C3) and even Barbosa (Fabia) for the other podium places. Hard to say if some of the other foreign crews, like the Heller brothers (Fiesta) or Villanueva (Fabia), will manage to fight with the top locals and how far young drivers like Almeida (Fabia), Correia (Fiesta) or Pardo (Fabia) will get. Besides the 28 R5’s, some 2wd assorted cars and a huge entry (24) in the 208 Cup, with many new names challeging last year top drivers.
The rally starts Friday with 2 stages in the afternoon and a double night pass on the street stage; plus 10 proper SS’s, starting at 9.00am, on Saturday.

Wow! 28 R5 cars! Amazing stuff for a national level rally. The seeding is very strange (Peugeot 208 R2 before Ford Fiesta R5, Skoda Fabia R2 before Fabia R5, Dani Sordo with no.37, Ricardo Moura with no. 40, etc.), but this is a great entry list.
To who likes see the carreer of names: https://www.ewrc-results.com/entries...-de-fafe-2019/
Some numbers are missing on the seeded entrylist though(#2, #3, #7,...)
We have the possibility to choose our own numbers, that's why the list looks strange. Normally then a start list would be published, but from this year onwards we will have a mandatory paid shakedown that will have a qualifyinbg stage (and then RallyPower says it's all good hahaha)
Same laugh…same sarcasm…are you related to this guy?

First PET and Sordo already showing he’s not here for tourism…what a pace!

First rolling for Volkswagen Polo R5 in Portugal. Pedro Meireles crashed already on shakedown:

Small roll and broken steering for Pedro Meireles (Polo) but he should be at the start. SS1 at 15.52h (GMT). Leaving to Fafe now for a heck of a rally!
How come Gil Antunes is losing minutes on some stages from yesterday
He's therefore one of the best of the 2WD drivers in Portugal and the Clio R3T proved to be a very good car(Cédric Robert and Manu Guigou prove it in french championship since several years) :s
Edit: I forgot that Rali Serras de Fafe is running on gravel, and that the Clio R4T proved to be good on tarmac but never really proved something with a top driver on gravel :mark:
News SS10
Only 21 crews have their times since a long time :mark:
Edit: OK it was just a problem with the live results sites ;)
Espectáculo? More like estupido...
