Hirvonen isn't doing too bad either. Big gap after the top 4 though.
Interestingly, Sordo isn't much faster than Mikko though one would expect so...
SS4 (22.79km) Paddon 0.0, Kubica +3.2, Evans +3.3 "we started to get this light rain..inconsistent grip..you've got to be really careful"
SS3 neutralized?
Sordo thought there would be more rain, if you saw the first split then you probably saw he was fastest but the rain or lack of it, damaged his time...Quote:

Wow.. I don't even have words for that.
stage got neutraliced after car 41, now national (200+ nbrs) are running on the stage and historics are riding to.
(rumors are the stage is done for the WRC cars today) not shure richt now waiting for more info (from a marchall on stage3 my dad or becks asked her info to)
info back from Becks is: neutral and rerout to next one,
Paddon fastest again, even on damp surface.
Ogier starts again tomorrow morning, according to VW Motorsport site.
"Things are not going at all to plan for Latvala’s team-mate Sébastien Ogier after leaving the road on Friday’s opening stage: the Frenchman was forced to pull to side of the road in his damaged #8 Polo R WRC. The car will have to wait until Saturday to rejoin the race under Rally2 conditions."
Is this only for the 3 powerstage points at the end of the rally? Is it actually possible for him to also skip the Saturday stages, and just go all out on the last one on Sunday?
There is much more to play for when he can win stages on VW home ground - even without points.
Ogier's retirement should leave things quite interesting. A better car with a lesser asphalt driver against a lesser car with a better asphalt driver.....if that makes sense. Hopefully they can both keep it between the vines.
Very interesting start to the rally, I am really encouraged by Paddon's times. Hopefully he can keep it up and make the podium of WRC2
Wheel was pushed quite far back:

Also retirement for Riedemann-Vanneste :(

They went of after a jump but should restart tomorrow
I know it's early days, very early, but how much if an embarrassment would it be to jml and sordo if Thierry won. Not to mention the other front runners.
I thing he already embarrased them (except Latvala) few Rallyes from nowQuote:

Because I do believe the Citroën and especially the Polo are a tad better right now in Germany. I hope he's not over-driving.
Anyway, Panzerplatte will decide all I guess.
Not really surprised that Sordo hasn't shown his 'lightning' tarmac pace that he's known for. Citroen should cut their losses, and put Meeke in the No 2 car for the remaining round to build on his experience for next season.
Intresting that PG "isnt wrc material"...
He has never got a proper car and if he did, he would be fast, top 6 easy... Proton was not exactly a good and a reliebal car an AT does not have so good cars either what it seems so...

A still from Ogier's little detour
hes probably confusing it with Richard burn simulator.. there are arows to show youQuote:

at first: How can Neuville embarass the other top drivers when he has proved himself to be as fast as them? Neuville has come to the top to stay, as long as he´s not doing a big crash. Then it could be different.
PG not as fast? He is fast but not consistent. Compare to Novikov, they seem to do about the same errors but Novikov has works car PG has to fight with a less good car and still doing times (well this time splits... eh split...) which is as fast as top drivers.
How much off the Michelins are DMack on asphalt pr km?
Seems like they all are struggling to get times out of them in Germany.
