Kopecky too slow if splits are correct :(
I can see the live stage on Eurosport TV, Breen hit some rock but was attacking like hell. Bouffier and Kopecky loosing quite a lot of time after 7 kms, Campana fastest sofar at that point.
FANTASTIC CAMPANA !!!!!! :bounce:
First Basso, then Andreas, now also Kopecky out of the fight :( .
Besttime for Campana, 0.7 sec faster as Sordo. Kopecky is loosing a lot of time on this one.
It looks like Sordo has increased his pace this stage to say Kopecky he has no chance to win.
I think it is Kopecky who didn't do good time on this stage, see also times of Campana, Bouffier and Mikkelsen, all beating him by nearly 15 sec.Quote:

Is he saying that local Campana did illegal recce? :DQuote:

The more positive thing is that the Skodas are being beaten by a Mini and a Peugeot (also Basso was able to beat them). It's true that one of the best tarmac drivers and a Corsican are driven them, nevertheless these are good news for the Championship.
Please Mini give a car to Meeke for the IRC!
Greetings. ;)Quote:

It is a very steep learning curve for him though on events like this.
But he has the speed... and as the saying goes, 'Its easier to make a fast driver consistant, than to make a consistant driver fast !' ... :)
BTW, amazing scenery again, what a place !

SS11 was 10' delayed due to a first loop's crash.

Anyone got a link to the live coverage of SS12 on french tv?
Has been a great morning s far, I have well enjoyed the action.
Kopecky fastest again on this stage. The frustrating thing about Jan is that he can be a very fast driver, just not all of the time...
some new videos.Watch at ss 7 the difference at cutting between Sordo and Campana.

It is on the channel "Via Stella" but I don't have a link.Quote:

Campana +8 in first split.
Edit: But fastest at 2nd, so I guess 1st split was wrong.
Where you find splits?Quote:

I don't enjoy watching onboards with the Mini. It doesn't sound or look as agressive as the NA cars.
If only he could have been "on it" on the first run.Quote:

Kopecky again but still quite tight with Campana with one stage to go.

Great victory for Sordo, first rally in IRC and immediately first victory also.
Good solid drive by Sordo over the whole rally and great drive by Kopecky today (except SS10), also very good drive by Campana.
Best IRC rally of the year so far, especially with live tv but on the whole it ended a bit disappointing as I think there could have been a fantastic battle for victory if Basso and Mikkelsen had stayed in the fight.
Hope to see more of the Mini this year with good drivers!
(3 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Floene Ola): “We are so far to the guys in front, we try to enjoy, but it is not maximum attack. I hope I have used up all my bad luck in one rally.”
Bad luck OMG? LOL! Solberg's bad influence on the newcomers
Otherwise Sordo played it like a boss. Halfway through the rally with half a minute distance. Let the romping kids smash their toys and take the gold at the end. No drama, no pressure.
Third victory of a turbocharged car, but this could represent a radical change on the IRC.
This victory is the start of the future, with the 1600 Turbo engines.
On this rally the Mini appeared faster than the rest of the field, let's see in the future, and specially if the 1600T engine is better than de 2000.
