voila.. same here.. It was the first time I went to sleep.. mostly do to the fact that I have to take part in half-marathon on Sunday and I decided to rest a little.. and look what happens. Seems that Ogier has had pretty heavy impact and both cars are quite badly damaged. And remember that both cars are from the same team and same mechanics have to work veeery hard now. Some people wont sleep much tonight :-P

Ogier and Loeb if they do not have further problems will be in the points for sure.
Petter's car wasn't in service.. He was apparently the Head Lamps for SSS on bonnet used all battery power in car and couldn't make to service?

If both restart tomorrow ,they are going to have interesting battle which will be pretty dangerous in these conditions.
Paddon as expected,but with no serious competition.
Loeb's car is fixed for tomorrow after 3 hours of work. Now Citroen guys will fix Ogier's car.

Lucky Ford...the chances of both Citroens exit so early are quite slim to say the least. And considering they were beaten badly before Loeb crashed...save face. He had lots of corrections in his notes...so I figured he would get distracted somehow.

Just got back from service park. They Citroën boys haven't even started on Ogier's. They'll get it bbl I'll say.
Some tension between the two Manu's. Ford people were over video recording the team working on Loebs car. They were looking at the roll cage and Citroën put their blind down to stop anyone looking.
That's typically French, no one should see and know what they are doing. Okay I know this long time but nobody wants to know that here at the rally fans.Quote:

Rally Australia, well, more like a destruction derby. Loeb making a mistake , but with that Ogier should then have reigned back in a brought it home with a podium finish. To crash is just dumb. So Ford are left in the lead, probably the only way they can win events nowadays.
What this event has shown is the lack of competition - the two Fords seperated by a handful of seconds, the 40+ to Petter Solberg, and over 2 minutes to Henning, after only one day. Just more ammunition to people who mock the series.

Note: Michelin once more got it wrong, This time not with the design of the tyre itself but with the choice. You go to any country on the winter season you bring if not wet tyres (not allowed) at least the soft tyres. The tyre regs are wrong - just take all types of tyres, and allow cutting if needed....

my guess is that in rally france team orders are going be applied very early like in Germany if the Citroens take the lead...I wouldn't be surprised if they actually say to ogier he cannot win there since the manufacturer title is so close and the difference to Loeb above 20 points...lets see.
Wow what a load of crap. Were you at Rally Australia when one of your Ford boyfriends pushed me over because I tried to take a picture of the underside of the new Focus WRC in 2005 and were working on them inside tents the whole time so no one else could see? :laugh: I took photos of the Xsara WRC and a mechanic ran up to me and asked me politely not to take photos of the underside of the car.Quote:

Was anything so broken on Loeb's Citroen it couldn't be tipped back on its wheels and continue? I'm just remembering all the times Sainz managed to roll in Australia before finally killing his Celica in the early 90s.
