So much about the hope of a Proton in the points. :(
Pity, it was probably the best sounding car in the Rally.
Or... you hoped Renault outfit of the Proton wouldn't last?Quote:

Interesting start to the rally, impressive stuff from Aava, I'm also positively surprised by Hennings pace, better than expected, not far behind Sordo - although different tyre choices might be a factor.
Very, very dissapointing from Atko so far.
Agree that the Proton showed potensial, but then the Renault part tok its toll, hehe.

Disappointing so far from Atkinson. Has he had problems apart from broken windscreen? Poor tyre choice or simply not on the pace?
i kinda like Aavas comment after stage 3:
slicks in a gravel rally? :rolleyes:Quote:

I think they (Gravel Voice) were calling the normal wet, a slick, and the Monte Snow & Ice tyre an extreme wet, which I don't think it is.Quote:

oh i didnt know that.Quote:

is that a question?
I’m just wondering. Usually Khalid is behind these guys.
Well. Khalid is eight because he has now much nicer number plates on doors. He is more satisfied with new plates and has to think less about those things. Now he can concentrate more on driving.
Conrad changed his co-driver and is now much faster. Previously he had to fight with his co-driver and had to convince him that he is not slow and he can be faster after every stage km. Therefore he often dint hear pace notes and ended off the road. New co-driver does not know him yet so well and they talk only about weather :-P
Probably didn't help the Akto was on wrong tyre and smashed his windscreen with his bonnet!
Espionage by the French!Quote:

everything looks like always now...boring.
Hmmm it actually looks as if Wilslow is getting slower and slower for each year. Hard to think that's even possible.
Times frozen before Henning...
Isn't it fifth year now? :) Few years ago Tomi said it will be interesting how good a driver with no talent can get with perfect conditions. It seems not very good.Quote:

Seems like it's going to be another boring rally with
1 loeb
2 sordo
3 hirvonen
in the end...
It is Matthew´s fourth full time driving year in the WRC, but he drove Focus WRC already 2004 and 2005. Next year will be his last year of the five year plan, so still much time to be slower...Quote:

yes...this morning after stage 1 i thought: man, thats an exiting rallye. but after the first cars on stage 2 everything was over... :oQuote:
