The new Nokia boss admits that Nokia is in trouble and that ""The first iPhone shipped in 2007, and we still don't have a product that is close to their experience,"".

Lets hope they can get themselves sorted and provide good products.

Well the rumour is that they're going to go Win Pho 7 or less possibly, Android.

If they do that they'll be back on track.

Jag, congratulations for making some money on Apple shares, you still ignore the fact that Donkey Jote found working with Mac stuff to be MORE DIFFICULT than with windows.

The interesting point here is that they are now talking not about devices, but Ecosystems, such as those Google and Apple have created, and whether Nokia should attempt to grow its own - a point it has singularly failed at in the past. Or hitch its wagon to another - most notably Windows Mobile 7 as the CEO is an ex-Microsoft man.

Now I personally think that if Nokia and Microsoft were to join forces, they would be a powerful force in the mobile market.

Yep, it seems strange for a company such as Nokia to be buying in operating systems from elsewhere, but as the CEO said, they are standing on a 'burning platform' so need to do something radical.. But if Nokia just become a hardware manufacturer for WM7 phones, what's to stop the likes of HTC just undercutting them?!

In my experience so far, iPhone = excellent. iTunes = sucks beyond beleif!

I refuse to install iTunes on any PC in the house. If you were writing a book on how NOT to design software you'd have whole chapters on that buggy bloated POS.
