In the 90s I was a big fan of Belgian rallyes. I still have VHS tapes with highlights recorder from satellite TV. Condroz, Boucles de Spa, Ypres, Wallonie and other events. Patrick Snijers with the Bastos Escort RS, Paul Liatter with the Crack Escort, Bernard Munster with the clio Williams and the Maxi were the pilots of the time. Belgian still have the two rallye championship: the International and the National?
Hey Luis, we now have only one major championship, with a lot of regional rally's aside of the championship. Boucles de Spa doesn't excist anymore (at least not with modern cars, only historics), but for the rest we still have the rally's like Tielt, Bocholt, Wallonie, Ypres, Omloop van Vlaanderen, Haspengouw and Condroz. Hope you will enjoy Ypres next month, even if you cannot be here live. ;)Quote:

Did you know that in some years Ypres were run at the same weekend of Azores Rallye :D
I don´t know if some of you remember but in the 90´s there was a TV channel called "Super-Channel". At that time I watched every friday the Go-International Motorsport programme and the resumes of belgian, netherlands and danish rallyes. The Ypres highlights were always one of my favourite. I remember very well Bruno Thiry with the Opel Astra some times and the huge battle between Freddy Loix and Verreydt with the Marlboro Celica´s one time. Kankkunen's participation I also remind and his early retired because he lost a wheel but I frankly no longer remember in what year.
