The famous Mille Milia Rally is back in the Italian championship. Do I see correctly over 170 crews on the entry list?

No surprises. Crugnola won. Here is a nice video from the event:

It's good to see Renault Clio Super 1600 in action at 2:32 ;)
Mikkelsen 8 sec slower from Avbelj after 4 stages
https://www.ewrc-results.com/results...2024/?s=471403
I don't know what are the weather conditions there, but a bit surprising to see Avbelj leading, ahead of drivers that usually beat him in Italy like Albertini, Andolfi and Campedelli.
I also don't know what happened to Mikkelsen, but from what I could see he never ahead...
Very mixed conditions all of full rain, damp and dry stages.
Clio Williams got 2nd time on SS6 likely by driving on a drying road.
Mikkelsen lost 15s with puncture on SS5.
Next year, Lancia creates a new cup in CIRA with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF as cars
Apparently Ucci is the first customer who bought one for his team ;)
Nice victory in 2WDs for Jonas Müller at the Rally dei Nuraghi e Vermentino(italian gravel championship) !!!
The German has his first class victory in Italy, in front of Fabio Farina and Nicolo Marchioro ;)
Andrea Crugnola continues with Citroën in 2025! :bounce:
Since end of 2023, Toyota Italia seems to want him as their driver, but he's feeling well enough in his current team :)
Toyota's current driver Giandomenico Basso is a very good driver too, but I'm convinced "Cru" is even better
Thomas Paperini new official Toyota driver for the CIRA 2025 !!!!
What happens to Giandomenico Basso then
Thomas Paperini? Who the hell is this guy?
Hey interesting!!! Winner of the Arctic Lapland Rally, Tuuka Kauppinen could enter the new Trofeo Lancia in the italian championship !!
rumors of gryazin with officially supported skoda
First event of the CIRT(gravel championship)this weekend, the Rally Città di Foligno
Then in two weeks, first round of the CIAR(italian overall championship)the Rally Il Ciocco ;)
Tommaso Ciuffi and his Skoda win 4° Rally Città di Foligno:

What do you think about such livery? :)

Paolo Andreucci still with MRF Tyres. Last week in the 4th place in Rally Citta di Foligno:

Former Formula 1 driver, Heikki Kovalainen, will be present at the start of the Rally Il Ciocco and also in other events of the Italian Championship. He is going to drive Citroen C3 Rally2.

By the way, a great entrylist for the Rally Il Ciocco ;)
Latest rumour from the Ciocco area: Citroën Italia would hire another italian top driver for CIRA(alongside with Andrea Crugnola)after this event, and it could be Andrea Mabellini
But if this is the case, not sure Mabellini would continue in ERC this season(Citroën Italia prefers concentrating in italian championship) :mark:

Gryazin won 4 stages today, but it's Basso who leads Rally Ciocco after the first leg:

And Ucci won the Rally Val d'Orcia, second round of italian gravel
Fabio Andolfi will drive the official Toyota in next week Rally Regione Piemonte(CIRA)!
Thomas Paperini seems to have been a bit more seriously injured in the crash of Rally Ciocco :mark:
Strange that Giando Basso hasn't been Toyota Italia choice
Big debut for the new Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 this weekend at the Rally Regione Piemonte, second round of the italian championship(CIRA) :D
Although the Trofeo Lancia will be on the Targa Florio next month, a few Ypsilon will run this event(including the CIRA 2WD champion, Gianandrea Pisani) ;)
Shakedown of the Regione Piemonte is about to start, and you can already see pictures of the different cars on http://www.rallylink.it/cms25/piemonte-2025
Big performance by young Swede Patrik Hallberg in Rally Regione Piemonte, leading the Rally4/2WD class ahead of the Italians who are fighting one another for this position
I know Hallberg isn't registered in the CIRA championship(and will not take points from the Italians), but this performance is still remarkable :)
Polish driver Michal Streer will do a season in Italy: this weekend he's on the Rally Città di Modena with a 208 Rally4, then he will switch to the Lancia Ypsilon ;)
A couple of drivers from the European Championship are going to compete in Rally Adriatico, as a preparation for Rally Hungary:
https://rallyadriatico.it/concorrenti-2025/
Return of Andrea Nucita, this time in a Citroën(from DMax)for the IRC championship! :D
Isn't it weird that Jaspar Vaher will discover the Lancia on tarmac(Rally Elba)rather than on gravel(Rally Adriatico), when Hungary ERC Junior will run on gravel too
