Rhode Island?
If there are any rivers there, they can't be all that long... :p :
I'm thinking its in Florida. Lots of natural springs there to start a river with, and lots of rivers and lakes for it to flow a short distance to. I'll call it the Okeehootcheefenoka. :D
Steve, there's a good argument for Eratosthenes as a father of physical geography...he did believe the Earth was round and calculated its circumference to an astounding degree of accuracy...
I have always maintained that geography is a tough thing to really define. To my mind, it has always had 2 basic elements: our surroundings, and our (mankind's) place in it. So, to me, valid questions about geography could include things like 'how tall is that mountain?' as well as 'why is there a settlement at the confluence of these rivers?' with equal relevance.
But that's just me.

Drew?
Drreewwwwoooooo?
Sorry, nobody's right!
Delaware? that's a small state isn't it?
Be more concerned with the size of the river than the size of the state :p :
Three states down, forty seven to go. What qualifies as a river?
Minnesota?
In this case, a river that doesn't not flow into the ocean and its length influenced by the tide (small hint!)Quote:
