wow - that looks like a stumper.... Looks like a road course - but nothing raced on in the relevant time frame.... Unless the picture is really distorted it looks like a strange marriage of an Eagle and a very early Parnelli.....
Lets try this for lack of a better guess:
Dan Murphy 25 Adams Automotive Cicada Offy TC -- Wrecked qualifying
Phoenix 1974
Question is - what the hewck is a Cicada (the race car, not the bug)
also, jsut came upon osmething of possible local interest to me. Anybody know anything about the Steve Durst whose entry was declined at the Ontario 500 in 1974???
Looks like you got it Chris, I was saving a photo of a Cicada to try to stump you all later. It's funny, I was just fixing to post the same guess as you, guessing it was Phoenix, too, because Phoenix has been posting a lot of photos of Phoenix. I guess Phoenix came up with a treasure trove of Phoenix photos! :D ;) :)
too funny!!
So, I guess the car is a strange marriage of a PArnelli and Eagle!! :p
You are correct. :up:Quote:

Steve Durst I believe drove IMSA Camel GT Lights during the 80's-90's. Thats about all so far. Righting bios for driver before 1990 is tough I finished the one on Gordon Smiley but I know I missed some info.

Possibly 1959 since the cars were virtually identical if not the same.
