for me it's the same sound, just with exhaust without silencer part, that was an option. I doubt they already have new spec engine.

Keane Motorsport told me, that the car only will be fitted with Evo2 specs after MC and before Sweden. So Evo1 to Tempestini

At the end what matters is to see Suninen going places, but more puzzling than this it's hard to get...

Unknown steering failure is the cause atm
Hmm, somehow I find it hard to believe it was technical problem but who knows, maybe it was...
Camilli is testing today again this time with the new livery.
New M-Sport livery looking good.. nice evolution !
There were some values for VW floating around but I don't remember them exactly. I think it was something like 37 cm on gravel and 26 on asphalt but I might be wrong.
I believe the front arches have a bigger gap between the top of the tyre and the arch, see the sliding photo of the Fiesta?
The three photos which you asked and quoted, the car is Not sitting on the ground
That looks like it could be in that range....and if that is the case it really is a huge increase--for both surfaces. Mid 90s Group A Subaru and Fords were right at 155mm total shaft travel (I have bought ex Boreham and Prodrive Bilstein inserts) and gravel fronts was around 190-200mm.
I may personally be only interested in gravel, but I watch and study---and scratch my head---asfalto rally and it has seemed that tthe cars a LOT more travel than previously --on tarmac I'm saying and that they work much better than previously...
I wonder if they use different uprights and subframes (like in the Good Ol' days of Group A)?
Do you know if Manufacturers must still submit detailed Homologation papers as before?
I haven't really looked over anything since the Whirled Rally Car Escort Cosworth.
(sigh) how I miss details
Si si, claro..The big hint I noticed was the jack stands plugged into the jacking points and the gap between the tires and the ground...usually that's a hint the car is not being driven..:uhoh:
oddly enough I just spent a couple of hours under a car in the very same configuration--a Ford (but an old Sierra)---yesterday and as soon as my little girls are off to school I crawl back under (I forgot to take loose the turbo oil drain--it was getting dark..Pobre mio!:bigcry:)
EDIT, except now its raining and its +4 and I don't get paid like WRC mechanics so I go make metal into rally parts today.
You mean different uprights and subframes for asphalt and gravel? That's not allowed. In fact they are obliged to have same even for front and rear.
The homologation papers are detailed but for an average Joe it's not easy to get to those of WRC cars. I don't have anything recent but some older stuff I do. I'll send You PM.
You're right, sorry.

isnt he too agressive in the shorter video? i have understood that smooth, neat and tidy style is good for tarmac.
