Slovenian rally driver Jani Trček, who was 3. in the Slovenian Rally Championship 2010 with Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, will switch to a oldtimer: Porsche 911 ST, 1969, 2,2 litre with 228 HP, 880 kg. He will do some races in Slovenia and some oldtimer rallies in Europe (Sanremo for sure). :eek:

After three years Euro rally Challenge has come to an end, and it´s not going to be run in 2011.

I presume that Georg Gross had an accident resulting in the cancellation of the stage, because there are no times on stage 3 and Gross does not appear in the standings after stage 2
Anders Grondal won the Sigdals Rally 2011.
The 2nd was Ostberg and the 3rd Brynildsen.

Huh! Just came form South-Estonian Winter Rally and the emotion is veeeeeery nice. The snow-walls on the side of the road were so high and thick that you were able to walk on those easily. It was like "helicopter view" for all the stages (well, mostly the walls were something like 2 m high)! The weather was perfect (-5..-7, some sun, some clouds, some wind). Many spectators. Koitla and Pärn (first rally in 4WD - with Tänak´s old car) in 4WD car were veeery fast and nice to watch.
The only downside of the stage was Remmak´s crash. We decided to wait for the second running of the stage and he was first starter. So, we saw three zero cars, Remmak and four more cars. But good thing is that he escape without any injuries. It happened somewhere in the middle of the stage when he landed badly from the jump. The car rolled and spun several times and the only thing that was not broken in the car was side mirror :-( Well, he is very nice guy and it was very good car.

Damn that Gross' Focus is nice! Nearly all-white livery suits the car very well.
Judging from the photos and videos pretty damn great conditions for a winter rally. :-)

Pärn, not Pärs :-) Pärs was little bit further behind. Pärs by the way, had a huge moment on the first stage at the first junction. There is a long straight with one bigger jump, then another smaller jump and then there is another crest but only 20 meters after the crest there is a junction to the right. So, Pärs missed the braking point completely and had a third jump from the last crest as well:-) Instead of turning right he went downhill to another road for approximately 150-200 meters before he managed to stop the car and reverse. Luckily marshals did a great job and there were no cars or no people on that road.Quote:

Murakas rented the car (retired after stage 2 with broken gearbox) from Salo and he said that there is an option to buy the car as well. Is Salo planning to change the car or class? Or some other plans?
And by the way. Last two stages were in darkness and Koitla was not able to switch on his light pod, So, he drove two final stages with normal lights.
Actually i believe that Murakas rented Evo X from Saku Vierimaa ´cause car was red and white. Juha Salo´s cars (both) are Gulf-coloured in this season.Quote:

After his win on Madeira 2004 I'm observing Sa's carrier more closley and it is almost same story every year: he reserves him top-material in terms of a car, but then at the end of the season there is nothing special to show regarding successes on the races. He tried with official Abarth, with Mitsu evo9, few P207S2k, but I don't remeber anything special achived, he has enough time (and $$$) to afford himselfe enough tests...Anyway, let's hope this year will be different with more success!Quote:

Some names on that list sounds quite strange to become FIA priority, but i guess we are used to the fact that FIA makes strange decisions. :D
It's not a selection. Those names come from clear given rules. The problem is that some FIA championships/cups are simply too low in competition level :(

After Tsjoen, also Alexandre Romain announced that he will drive a C4 WRC in Belgium.
He secured budget for the first 3 rounds of the championship, and is looking for budget to drive the whole season :)
Interesting news about C4s.
Are we going to see any 06-10 Focus WRCs in national championships? Gross (Estonia) has bought PX08 AXC, there are few in Italy as well and also some in the Benelux area. Not to forget Ireland.
