Starter 43 they are called. I thought they were very cheap so instead went for some more expensive but more accurate wheels for my 1992 BMW's. £12 a set! Hopefully they will be well worth it.

STARTER43?? That's a new one on me. I've heard of SCALA43 and SPRINT43. There is also a RACING43.Quote:

Sorry they are called startupmodels, they have a catalog of wheels (about 20 or so) 1 euro a wheel and tyres are 0.50 euros lol
Don't expect quality.
Do you have a web address? When I put in startupmodels in google it comes up with something different!Quote:

Regarding code 3 model prices I am a Rally Model builder and those prices quoted are quite reasonable.
Its not just a case of respraying and re decal.
Sometimes if you can buy a batch of base models for a good price then that is fine but there is the time taken to strip and hope you dont crack windows. buying what i get the Styprit wood and varnish remover to take the car back to metal
The cost of paint as rattle cans if you use them or airbrush, then if you need a special colour mixed thats not cheap.
cost of decals to have done with all the artwork and produced and how many sets you need. then depending on what detail you want to put in the model for the price you are going to charge is another thing.
I also have parts cast now in white metal such as dashboards to rhd which i make the master and get them cast and to pay for the moulds.
In the rally model world some people want to pay diecast prices for a converted to code 3 car. but if you are a true collector and you want the car you will get it unless you can't afford it but you will know yourself you won't moan about the price becaus thats what it is.
This isn't aimed at anyone on here its just what happens elsewhere.
I do have spares like seats, and belt decals and wheels fire extinguishers etc etc
