Ostberg's funding was explained a few weeks ago but he isn't just relying on papa.
As for ALM and what they might or might not be saying, anything that might prevent a deal being concluded at present that maximises the number of seat providers to continue negotiations with strengthens their bargaining position. "We have the money, Evgeny has gained podiums, what will you give us for this amount?" is the sort of conversation you can easily imagine. M-Sport sewn up means less choice.
Very nice news about Sordo.
from Colins twitter
The Hyundai engineers who were at Rally Catalunya were there with Stohl Racing. Not sure we can read much into this but still interesting.
I'm glad to hear Sordo has a seat, and I really want him and Hirvonen to do well, but with them both at Citroen I can't help thinking of them being as awkward as two roommates that have dated the same fashion model.

In the video Matton says again that is important to have a driver of Southern Europe. Sure they took this into account, in addition being a Citroen driver in the past. The Spaniard can't be happier, we have only to see the way he smiles. It has to be a relief not to drive a Mini again.
I wonder if Sordo is the first driver who will drive with three factory teams in the same season (my memory says yes). Del Barrio wrote today on Twitter that they are ready to start testing. What about a rally before the end of the year?
Today we'll probably know if Dani starts in Rallye de Var.
I wish Dani to get at least a Win next year. JML is now a very serious contender on the black stuff, but of course VW competitiveness is a big unknown.Quote:

I am glad if he got a full season, Citroen owes him that.
