I am not sure what "stirring the pot" means, but ALM have the better driver and the more money so they don't have the need to intrigue through their personal website in order to help him get a place.

Also, there are Solberg, Ostberg, Kuipers, Rahji, Breen with big checkbooks so it's quite unreliable to believe Malcolm will give Tanak one more free year.
