Neuville 2,7sec faster from Ucci- Breen at 1,9km stage
Paolo Andreucci: there is still a little damp, slippery, I think it cleans up. We well no problem 1: 58.13
Marco Pollara: 2: 02.71 it went well, we went down without taking big risks, good choice of tires thanks to the Pirelli technicians. It is drying
Giacomo Scattolon: 1.59.21 surely we could have done better, I tried not to make mistakes. But don't tell yourself if I went well or badly
Luca Bottarelli: we started. We are happy. This was the show rehearsal. The race is tomorrow 1: 59.635
Antonio Rusce: 2: 01.947 beautiful, I enjoyed it, two traverses. We broke the ice
Rudy Michelini: 2: 00.083 there was little grip, then maybe the car was too hard. But it's good to get out of here because it's easy to make mistakes
Stefano Albertini: 1: 58.386 all right, I made a little mistake at the close inversion, but I enjoyed it
Marco Signor: 2.00.187 let's see the times, it seemed pretty good. In the meantime we have come out, we'll see later tomorrow
Giandomenico Basso: 2: 01.230 the start was not very good, the starting system did not enter, the car was dead.
Andrea Crugnola: 1.59.119 quite well, the first test is not easy, but it's okay
Thierry Neuville: 1.55.410 a good test, very good car and I enjoyed it
Craig Breen: 1.58.186 Almost Ok, the road slipped more than I thought. Tomorrow is another story
A stage win for Virves ???
I don’t know the level of the locals but it’s surprising as hell for me because his lack of experience and his first ever tarmac rally.
The first to come out of the night reorganization will be the n.1 Andrea Crugnola at 7:00 am followed by all the other competitors in progressive order of registration number and all interspersed by one minute from each other, with these exceptions:
after Neuville n.11 Craig Breen n.42 will start and after n.26 the n.204 Erik Cais will start, admitted at the last moment to the CIR race instead of the CRZ race.
"Special stage among the great classics of the Il Ciocco rally, much appreciated by the drivers, is re-proposed in the same format as in 2019. Wide, guided and fast uphill start, up to the brow after the Casina Rossa fraction, where a rapid descent begins, dotted with spectacular hairpin bends. It ends shortly after the town of Massa Sassorosso, not crossing the town. "
Scheduled test departure: 8:24 am
The first forerunners who reached the stop confirm the substantially dry test, with some wet patches in the final part. Note that there are several "anti-cut" spots so it shouldn't get too dirty. Currently on the whole test good grip
ss2
Andrea Crugnola: 4.33.5 Not easy, humid conditions, so slippery compared to 2019, we are here and you just have to wait for the times of the others
Giandomenico Basso: 4.32.6 we found a bit mixed, even where there was dry asphalt it seemed to slip a bit. Particular condition, even with the car, I did not understand very well
Marco Signor: 4.39.2 Very variable, slippery, it was a long time since I did this test, it was difficult to understand where there was grip and where not
Stefano Albertini: 4.29.7 quite difficult to interpret, corners held well, others with little grip. But everything is ok
Rudy Michelini: 4.33.0 we started with a hard tire and we were sliding a lot
Antonio Rusce: 4.38.8 I saw that he was sliding a lot but quite well, we tried to ride as best we could
Luca Bottarelli: 4: 40.8 quite difficult, he slipped a bit, I struggled a bit but that's okay
Giacomo Scattolon: 4: 42.4 nn so well because the first piece I slept a little, I saw a little damp and I was wrong, then after the first piece better
Marco Pollara: 4.36.1 went well, I forgot to connect the fan and we did the last km with the glass fogged up
Paolo Andreucci: 4.32.9 so slimy, I suffered a bit in the initial part
Thierry Neuville: 4.33.1 all good, it feels quite dirty at times, but overall good
Craig Breen: 4: 29.5 pretty good, maybe wrong with the tires, but it's a pleasure on these tests
Breen taking over the lead from Neuville, with Albertini in second overall. Most drivers saying it was more slippery than expected.
Starttime stage 3 delayed to 9h03?
Crugnola loosing half a minute to Basso on stage 3
Strong performance by Albertini on this one
And taking the lead, Neuville into second and Andreucci third
Edit: De Tomasso is into third and Andolfi fourth.
Crugnola having problem with drive shaft
next one is a new one if i understand right.Lets see if an unknown stage will be difficult for locals.
SS.4 "Molazzana 1" of 8.68 km at 10:02
04 "It is a special stage, practically unpublished, in this version. It starts immediately outside the town of Gallicano, on the SP 41. The first section up to Molazzana presents a climb with a medium-wide carriageway, where tortuous sections alternate with hairpin bends sometimes fast, where the difference will be guessing the most profitable trajectories. Along the village of Molazzana, the road then becomes narrower and more tortuous, up to the junction on the right in the locality of Fobbia, which again leads to a road of generous dimensions, with long-radius curves, up to Montaltissimo. From here begins the very technical, medium-fast final descent, up to Monteperpoli, where a turn to the right slightly precedes the end of the PS on the SP 43 "
Test starting at 10:02
The sun has conquered the sky, with 10 degrees of temperature
How should I look the class where Virves is competing?
This is the way I look it https://www.ewrc-results.com/results...=319609&ct=270
I think Nucita is in the lead? But it is class R2C apparently. You could have a look at rallylink.it
Great time by Neuville on this relative short stage
Neuville and Breen took 6-7 sec from locals.

Disappointed in Mares and Cais, was expecting more from them.

They are not per Italian rules.
Anyway R2B and R2C are subcategories of R2 per FIA R-class rules (now replaced by the new Rally1-5 ones) and the meaning is that B has smaller engine capacity but also weight while C has larger engine and weight.
From that it looks like the Italians keep lower weight for Fiesta R2T unlike 2021 Rally4 rules which put the weight of both B and C car to the same level.
Stage 7 was delayed by 45 minutes to clear the road from accidents during first pass. Besttime for Neuville but only with 0,8 margin
Camponaro from ewrc, masive crash.

It's a lot about driving the same stages over and over again in the local championships. It's nearly everywhere the same when foreigners come to unknown events for them (in countries with strong local rally scene). In the events where foreigners already have some experience the local dominance usually vanishes even though they sure keep respectable level (Sardegna, Rome, Sanremo).
Mirek there was a stage that they hadnt run the locals,i was waiting the wrc stars to took there a signifigant difference, but it didnt happened.Surprised me too.
