Bad decals are often a feature of Trofeu! If there's a more frustrating company in the diecast rally world I dont know who they are. There are models on their release list that are 4 or 5 years in the waiting. As for a website?!

I think the British Rally Legends is a great series though. The next release is Roger's Old Gold MK1 and am hoping they will do a Mark Lovell Radiopaging Cossie. At least they have used more than one moulding in this series unlike the Heros of Ashphalt which seems to consist entirely of Alpine Renaults.

Patience is a virtue. I'm really fatalistic about models in that if I dont want to pay a stupid price I wait as one usually comes along in the end. Did this with my Minichamps RS200. Saw the rally version going for £100+ so waited and got the rally version and the white road car in one hit for quite a bit less. Just trying to get hold of a Vitesse Raya 306 Maxi now as the recent Ixo release just isnt quite as good!

Sal I know what you mean about trofeu models not being so good and a website ..oh dear!!!
I look forward to the next legends release, any idea when it is out? and I too hope they do a Mark Lovell Radiopaging 1 in the future..

I have all four models of the BRL series released so far, all mint models to me.
Looking really forward to BRL05, this should be another great model.

But I think Trofeu will need at least a couple of completely new mouldings.
Can the BRL be complete without e.g. a 6R4 or a Chevette?

The Escort won a lot of titles so that will keep them busy for a while. :D After that they can start with their Quattro moulds, Sierra/Sapphire, Celica and by then they'll have covered 1971-1990 with just four cars missing.

Thanks. Now why can't Troféu themselves have a website like this? Simple and functional.

Does anyone know if TR1125 has been released previously? I know they've been re-releasing some of the older Impreza WRC models, but I don't remember this one.

1125 is a new model and hasn't been released yet.

The website http://www.trofeu-models.com is mentioned on the boxes for a couple of years now, but still doesn't seem to work

Ste - if you mean the small one on the back wing, above the 'Withers of Winsford' sticker..... take a look at the photos of the rally car on the box - the sticker is angled (admittedly not as much) on the rally car so I don't think it's just shoddy decal placement, I think it's meant to look like that. :s

Two of them on ebay, one for €100 and another one for €45. I have a few of Vitesse's Nürnberg models here, so I'm curious to see for how much such a model will be sold.

Ah, from the 24h Spa race.
I went to the 24h Spa race a couple of times in the early nineties, great race it was then with the BMW M3 E30, Ford Sierra Cosworth, Nissan Skyline,....

My last circuitevent was a round of the European (or World ?) Touringcar Championship some years ago at the Zolder circuit with Cecotto & Winkelhock in the Schnitzer-BMW's (E36), a couple of Alfa Romeo's 155,...

Just did rallies since, except each year a round of the European Rallycross Championship (Maasmechelen or Valkenswaard)

I just bought this 1/18 Autoart Subaru Impreza WRC2004 Rally Japan for roughly $33 USD at the model car store in Tokyo. Well, it's actually second-hand model, but there is nothing wrong with it. Bargain!

There's one in a local shop - but it needs to be pre-ordered so I haven't seen it close up. If any can tell me if its good -cheers!

This is a model I made in 1/43 scale of David Stokes/Guy Weavers Ford Escort RS1600 from the RAC Rally 2007
I will be making 50 in total each one is numbered and comes in plastic case with white outer sleeve
