BS...
Yes, the season is short, but everybody has had same chances and somebody saying ,,wouldn't like'' such WDC title is just stupid..
Neuville is the one, who wants it the most.. nobody cares about hundred 2nd place trophies..

really weird to look the cars on this stage/circuit...cant wait for saturday for proper stages
Similar tests but not as pretty as the old RAC Rally Sunday stages for watching.
forgot your gloves,Mads?
The odd watersplash would've brought a bit of spectacle like the old RAC stages used to have.
Ooff Taka off !
And Katsuta hit the wall at the first grass corner...
Don't have any plan for unblocking the road? I mean surely they should have thought this might happen?
How incredibly stupid one has to be to do something like this? He has been "learning" for ages already. Everybody knows that on such stages there is very little to win but all to lose. Everybody knows that wet grass with tarmac tires is incredibly slippery. Even if he didnt know this, he should have watched live stream of first cars and notice how they went wide there. But no, all rookie mistakes, like he is some gentleman driver being 1st time in a car...
Ogier again missing right frontaero exactly like on shakedown
Ogier was faster about 1,2 sec midstage,Neuville gain at the second part.
again Evans almost spinned, jesus
wow Evans a little bit wide and hewould hit the concrete with rear wheel
So small differences compared to SD. That's kinda bad news tbh, tomorrow with all those services between stages they will dial in and unless weather changes a lot it might be quite boring.
Tough tests for the drivers but also for the viewers.
Good job we have the proper stages on Saturday... I couldnt watch 3 full days of these at the circuit.
I must say this is interesting stage with that gras trap corner. Sadly Wrcplus managed to allmost not show it at all.
WRC3 drivers Huttunen and Solberg faster than WRC2 drivers Fourmaux and Ostberg... Proving again what a fail this WRC2/WRC3 splitting has been :D
Michelin posted tyre choice 1 minute ago now :rotflmao:
Michelin #Tyre info - SS1
Toyota:
Ogier/Evans/Rovanperä/Katsuta: 4 MICHELIN Pilot Sport FW3
Hyundai
Tänak/Veiby: 5FW3
Neuville/Sordo: 4FW3
MSport:
Suninen/Lappi/Greensmith: 5FW3
Nice that the theories we had earlier were true.... people taking 4 tires already. But this was just 4 km, tomorrow it's 13+.
i dont get it why Tänak took the spare one
people can have different opinions
i know a lot of people for whom this title will be with asterisk no matter who wins it.
and then again i know people who share your opinion
When McRae won his title in 1995 there were only 8 Rounds.
Absolutely do not want to make the judgment but in 1995 rallies have ~ 500 competitive km.
Well, thing about such a short championship is that it is much harder to recover from technical faults that might not be driver's error so in that sense luck plays a bigger role and I think this is evident in this championship.
Nobody said what you mentioned isn't true, did they? But it doesn't change the fact that the fewer rallies you have, the more luck you need. If you have a technical dnf then it plays a bigger role than during a normal season. Skill wins in the long run, but the smaller the samplesize, the higher the variance. Can't see how this isn't obvious to everyone.
