Why are the showing SOS sign? Shouldn't they stop then? SOS and OK have quite different meanings you know...

Imo it was a huge mistake, he was so much faster in that corner than anybody else. So much speed that the car refused to turn.

They are showing OK, it's a 2 sided card with SOS/OK on different sides.

It was just a single stage... But I've always thought Suninen was quicker with Markkula than with Lehtinen. I'll have to wait until the next rally to see for sure whether I was right or not.

Gryazin from 3rd split till stage end was same fast as Mikkelsen

Suninen had to push. He needs to show how quick he can be...., just a shame he took that corner WAY too fast.

Mikkelsen in exact same position, he has to dominate that R5 class.

If Teemu start showing good pace, then I have usually question "when?". When it ends. Not does it ends.

I guess MSport are missing Lappi now.

Sorry Eddie I like him as much as anyone else but he just is not up to top WRC pace at this present moment. Nothing against him at all, I would be in a Fiesta WRC right now if I could afford it but calling a spade a spade he would struggle to win a round of the BRC or Irish Tarmac at his present pace. The car is more than capable as seen with Suninens splits.

Suninen saying the roll cage is bent. Looking unlikely he could rejoin the event. #WRC

15 min delay.

Huge shame for M-Sport and Suninen as by the sounds of it he won't be able to return tomorrow after such a struggle to get there in the first place and the pace shown in the stage.

Rallying sometimes punishes you heavily!

Oh dear. What a bad start for msport even considering their bad situation before the rally. How many times has Teemu crashed on ss1 now?

Greensmith for me is "gentlemen driver" - he is driving in WRC because is pays for that, not because he is talented for that. If you watch it like this, he is doing well.

And it's not really our business how someone is spending his money.

Great stage time for Gryazin. First time in new car and 2nd fastest only behind Mikkelsen.

What do they expect? They've brought a gentleman driver who funds the team, dropped Lappi because he won't pay, and their only "actual" rally driver has had his program cut/ funding issues so is clearly going to drive with a point to prove.

And Suinen was driving like that, and a few corners from winning the stage. Small margins. But it's hardly a surpise Suninen crashes in Monte - he has done for numerous years.

Photographer broke his leg and a helicopter is arriving to pick him up, that is the reason for the delay
