You should be able to use more than 180 degree lock (albeit maybe not the full 900, though I'm not sure why you would want that in a F1 game anyway).
Is it a logitech? Do you use the profiler? What wheel saturation setting do you use in-game?

Are you on PC? If yes, add me, my GFWL ID is CaptainRaiden. I'll be getting online to play today (finally!). So, Bruce if you're reading this, I'll look out for ya. I'll be hosting races in a bit.Quote:

Oh, alright. If you set it to 100% saturation it SHOULD give you the same lock in-game as you have set in the profiler, atleast it seems to work with my DFP (though I haven't played around with it too much tbh, found a good setting with about 240 degrees and just kept it there).
I personally prefer 50% linearity for the wheel as that "cancels out" that filter. If you want it to be a little more or less sensitive in the middle then you can play around with it though. Deadzone is rubbish IMO.
In the profiler I use 110% FFB and 0% on everything else (everything unchecked as well), feels good to me in the games I play (F1, LFS, GTR-Evo).
Good luck with setting everything up and congrats to what I'm sure is an awesome wheel, can't deny I'm a little jealous. :D
Got to love doing 21/22 laps of Spa (50% race distance) at a qualifying pace (1m50s) and getting the Lotus into 7th place and then losing it all as it rains on the last lap! Finished 20th!
I love running in heavy rain, so difficult and the visibility behind other cars is nil, really impressive.
Sorry X, didn't get online, Tuesdays are out for me. Might be online tonight but I'll see how things go. All of this week is a "maybe" for me. My kid is very sick at the moment so paying him a lot of attention.
Whoops! I really hope your son gets well soon man. Take good care of him, and all the best luck from my side. I hope it's not something serious. :(Quote:

I am as usual not very good though and struggle to drive without TC, can't spend long enoughg playing it to get used to it.
My xbox live username is J4MIE1243 if anyone wants to try to race online sometime.
Oh and Daniel, get it, it's much better than the WRC game

First season at Virgin is going well. Just finished Silverstone weekend, finished 9th so got a couple of points, qualified 11th but couldn’t really progress in the race. Loving the game, I am playing on the hardest AI difficulty – legend – and find some tracks harder to master than others. Valencia was tough, finished last with a pit-lane speeding penalty after qualifying 23rD! Yet in Montreal I qualified on pole by 0.2secs and finished 2nd in the race. Hamilton overtook me, my prime tyres weren’t as good as the options.
However, I race with automatic gearbox and full traction control, which obviously makes things easier.
I am wondering how much faster you can go without these if you can master them? Anybody know?
Cheers
I think driving with all assists off definitely is a big improvement in time. You feel like you're more in control of the car, if you know what I mean. But of course, there is a slight learning curve for feathering the throttle as you come out of corners, or you'll spin.Quote:

I guess one can go faster with only traction control on, because then you won't have to be so cautious coming out of corners. But using manual gears is definitely a clear advantage.
I've heard the Formula 1 2010 game is full of bugs and glitches and that its not worth buying, is this true???

For me personally the bugs annoyed me at first because I was expecting perfection (Wrongly), but once I had it a few days it was great. Enjoy it for all the things right with it as aposed to the few problems.
Cheers, i'll be getting it some time soon :DQuote:

I race without fuel simulation. I don't think fuel burn on the A.I is caculated right.Quote:

no it is not- qualified 14th in a Lotus- could keep up with them for a few laps and then just lose touch with them as soon as I complete a pit stop- I can drive perfect laps and be nowhere near themQuote:

oh and is there a way you can retire from a race (without blowing an engine or crashing heavily)
Tyre wear works. Without it turned on you turn a Lotus into a RedBullQuote:

Loving it. :D
Can you blow an engine or does the gay geordie engineer pretend when he tell you it`s getting hot?Quote:

it is nice graphical 3d game. i like the game of racing. but due to this my process of computer slow. so i am always playing game of nfs most wanted. where i will get formula game on the internet?
F1 2010 is soo legit!! In my opinion one of the best games out there!
Did you pit on the first lap of the window? That glitch still happens....best to wait 2 sometimes 3 laps.
Can anyone recommend a good/best Steering wheel for the Xbox 360????
Also, is it easier with the Xbox Pad or with a wheel, or is it down to the person's own preferences?
Yep no matter how hard I tried yesterday to come close to the pole time, I could only get as close as 6th place in my Sauber, in q3, in q2 when it was raining I was able to set the fastest time in my first lap :D , but in dry conditions its almost impossible to put a sauber or anything other then the top 6 teams on pole. With fuel and tyre simulation off, I got the pole in couple laps. I think I'll keep it this way till they release the patch and fix the puncture and pit stop bugs! Btw this is in legend mode!Quote:

Thanks Maxter, I shall now be trying to find a wheel online! Oh if anyone's got one for sale, let me know! :)Quote:

Guys I'm trying to learn driving without tc with manual gearing, any tips that i could use, I'm using the G27. Btw does braking harder while approaching a corner burns the tyres? I mean do they lock up? I cant tell so far.
Depends on your brake balance setting, but most of the time they should lock up and lock up pretty easy. Without TC just feed the power in slowly out of corners, maybe take a second or 2 to get to full throttle. Something I'm trying with the manual gearing is to delay the last downchange until just before the corner. I noticed other people in videos doing this. Seems to help with stability a bit.
Well, the patch improved some things for sure. The game now looks much better because of the FPS gain, and runs more fluidly. I guess because of the patch it now uses my quad core processor better.
BUT the force feedback has changed a bit. I don't know if it's for better or worse, because I spun on some places easily, where I wouldn't before, for example the penultimate corner at Melbourne.
And it seems the penalty system hasn't been improved at all. Yesterday in an online race, I got punted from behind by someone at a corner and so was pushed across forcing me to cut it. Was carrying too much speed since it was Monza, and I get a 10 sec time penalty for corner cutting. Then I was following someone in their slipstream trying to overtake, the guy spins at the next corner and since I'm right behind he crashes into me, and I get another penalty for causing a collision. WTF?
Yer i find that to, i think the game finds it hard to tell the difference between an accident, and a crash through being stupidQuote:

As for the brakes, it should be fairly easy to spot a lock up - the game does have a glitch that resets the ABS so perhaps that's what happened to you.
Got into a 2 race online thingy with about 11 people a couple of days ago. The host allowed all driving assists, but I went with no assists as always. The first race was at Monza, which I won and by lap 3 half of them disconnected. I won that race by not even a big margin and the host then sends me a message saying I'm cheating.
Then we get to Spa next, where I win again, and again by not even going too fast. I think my lap time was 1:44, which is about 3 seconds off my best lap time there. The host again sends me a message, "100% cheating" and leaves the race.
When will these morons realize that you actually can't cheat online. Maybe in Time Trial, as some of the times on the leaderboards are just impossible, but I haven't seen anybody cheat in an online race yet. Plus, there's an anti-cheat system in place for F1 2010 already, similar to PunkBuster. If you go into the F1 2010 directory, you can even see the anti-cheat folder.
I've really had enough of noobs not being able to drive, then throwing their toys out of the pram if they're beaten fair and square. It's a difference of at least 3 seconds with all assists off! I saw some noob at the Codies forum say that people with wheels and all assists off are cheaters. :rotflmao: There's no shortage of idiots and sore losers. RARELY you would find people joining in a race with all assists off. It seems nobody really wants to do it the hard way.
