The car is for sale as Martyn plans towards 2008 - it isn't a sign he is leaving the BTCC.

If I was him, I'd be racing it instead of that Alfa, but I'm sure he has his reasons.

Looking at the Motorbase website, http://www.motorbaseperformance.co.uk It does not seem as they have decided on drivers or even their cars for next year yet!
They have their Seats for sale there..

I wouldn't expect Motorbase to have any drivers confirmed yet and they have said they would like to upgrade to SEAT Leons, of course that will depend on cash.

It has been mentioned on the Motorbase site that they hope to retain the services of Matt Allison for 2008...

But this is touring car racing... Anything can happen, and often does, when you least expect it!

As Tisme said earlier, If you read this from the Motorbase website, it doesn't seem that Motorbase have identified their drivers for next season yet!

No surprise at this stage of the season. I doubt we'll hear about their drivers for next year before Christmas.

Vauxhall have announced one of their drivers already.
Andrew Jordan has been announced as driving with Dad at Eurotech.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vauxhall have already got their second driver sorted, as well as WSR and TD drivers!

It is never 'too early'!
