That's right. Your turn.
Who won the first ever Grand National race on the 2 1/2 mile Daytona oval track?
Bob Welborn in a qaulifier?
Correct! That's why I worded it the way I did, or lack there of...in case somebody guessed Lee Petty instead. Your go.
which was the last manufacturer to win at Daytona that wasn't Ford or Chevy?
In 2002 Ward Burton won in a Dodge.Quote:

IIRC Shorty Rollins won the convertible only qualifier, and Welborn won the Grand National qualifier. The 500 itself was a "mixed" race with Lee Petty winning in a GN car. I guess technically, if a convertible had won the Daytona 500, there would have been no Grand National Daytona 500 winner. I also think Richard Petty drove that first 500 in a convertible.Quote:

Burton's Dodge victory is correct. as for Rollin's victory the question asked for a GN victor and that's what i went on.Quote:

From the time the modern era points system started in '74 until (but not including) the chase points system in '04. How many drivers scored over 5000 points in a year?
