It does have a Diesel engine, probably a Toyota from the Hilux. This last part is my suposition as Jaton runs several Hilux T2 (or almost T2) Xavi Foj last year winner of T2 (With a Toyota Prado, same engine than Hilux) and a Hilux T1 proto also with the same 3.0 diesel engine.
It makes sense that this proto running a Diesel would also use a Toyota engine (logistics wise) but what a Frankenstein that would be:
Toyota Engine, Citroen C4 shape, and Mitsu badge and denomination!
