Of course WRR won´t grill Malcolm Wilson. Some of the radio crew also produce Fords video blog from each event. Independent journalism? I´m sceptical.

what really amazes me, is that many of the forum members. Hasn't realized how manu teams handle privateers. With all the treads we have had in the past on these subjects, you still are surprized when mr. Warmbold blogs about this. Remember Henning did a resett of setting everytime the car had been into service. He didn't trust the team at all. Any of you find it strange, that Henning and Manfred performed so well i the pug. for later to be really outpaced with Xsara and Focus. even the differences between the xsaras when droven by Stohl, Carlsson and the others. One year really on pace, next year, not even close. Remember how suddenly Petters Xsara started to perform, when Quesnel found out he could be usefull for the manu team.

Found this video of Antony's 2005 season
Because someone finally say the truth about the WRC and factory teams, is there something wrong if you're self are deceived?Quote:

you don't need to go that far back...many privateers managed to match the times of the works drivers in recent years as well (axcluding this year where cars are almost equal)Quote:

@ Anthony. I hope you can give us some inside about this "incident". New Zealand 2004, <The Phone> How did things go from the finish moment on, how did the Ford team react? And more important, what caused youre car to suddenly stop and start simply after restart? Did Ford Focus WRCars run on Microsoft Windows: press CTRL ALT DEL and all youre troubles disappear :( ?
Very interesting insight to the background of the WRC world - thanks. The part of an "unknown Finn" finding a bit more money and getting a better car sounded quite funny. As we know, the rest is history... Also interesting to find out that privateer cars were made of completely different materials. In F1 terms it would be like A-team's car is made of carbon fibre and B-team's car of aluminium. Would sound extraordinary. :p : I remember myself wondering back in 2005, how Anthony was suddenly so much more competitive than before. Well, getting some answers now!
Noted, I will get into this in a future RSI post.Quote:
