Samsonas is lithuanian?
Yes he is
On a side note, the Hyundai R5 is having a very troubled start to its competitive life. Double retirement in Condroz noted as oil sump for both cars. (as in something punctured said oil sump or what?)
I'm surprised these things hasn't come up in testing given Abbrings violent driving style. He also tested the troublesome 208 so one would expect him to have learnt a few lessons there.
They were not the only ones this last weekend. Claudio De Cecco also retired with I20 from Friulmotor in Rally Poreč. I don't know why though.
Interesting reason to retire but it's true that Croation roads when wet are crazy slippery.
I think these are rather engineering or supplier faults, just like the suspension problems they have/had.
On the other hand, the PSA cars have received some updates. I don't know much about it (maybe br21 does), only that there's a new engine mapping which enables the cars to run on max power or very close to it.
As i talk with Claduio directly because of the car is from HMI he dont want to damage the car road conditions is very poor.
Fruil Motor is waiting for Hyundai R5 order to delibered this rally is only to understand the car.

PSA cars have new engine mappings for Evo kits, and there you can choose boost levels by simple rotary switch. Base spec had different engine maps with different boost levels.
Hyundai problems are little more complicated - some are suppliers fault, some bad luck and some I think simply because of quite short testing phase.
But if someone thinks those are because of test driver then it means he knows absolutely nothing about developement of the car.
br21 why Breens ds3 had blanked part of front bumber comparing to Lefebvres ds3? different mapping? or wrong mapping?

Well I have never developed a rally car in my life, so absolutely, I have no idea what the process is. I just thought it was an interesting correlation that two initially troublesome cars both were developed by the same driver. That doesn't mean I believe it is his fault, just that it is an interesting remark.
Also the oil sump should be protected by the skidplate so if something would pierce it, it seems weird given that Abbring cuts pretty agressively... an issue in that area should have come up in testing, one would think.
De Cecco and Aco, no money no funny, they must pay too much if they destroy their cars (rented cars) HMI Hyundai i20 and Friulmotor 208
What are you guys talking about? De Cecco was driving Pug 208 in Condroz and the reason he retired was an off, had nothing to do with rain or slippery roads. Dilley and Duval were driving Hyundai's and they both retired with sump gard pierced.
That's not the right De Cecco. I think they aren't even related :)

As far, as I know, lithuanian rally committe talking with swedish Mitsubishi Mirage R5 team. 2017 lithuanian rally regulations project allows car like this compete in Lithuania Rally Championship. So maybe maybe we will see Mirage R5 it in Lithuania.
By the way, this year Lithuania rally championship was won by latvian J.Vorobjovs with his privately built Mitsubishi Mirage with Evo's parts.
And question to guys from Poland. Could you enlight me about Ford Fiesta Proto? I know that's Fiesta with Evo's parts and I saw it only in Poland. How this project happend?
Where do you found LTU rally regs project for 2017?
Mirage of Vorobjovs is exactly similar like Proto you asked in second paragraph. It's coming from Poland. They can build different bodies - Mirage, Fiesta, Polo, 208, Hyundai, Citroen, etc.
At least one Hyundai R5 in FRC next year. They have an option for a second car. Driver still a secret.

Václav Pech in Czech championship 2017 with Ford Fiesta R5.
Now let's see if Škoda is there in 2017 too...
Thank You, guys! Quite usefull information.
Here is LTU regulation project

But it's only in Lithuanian. Google translates quite badly from lithuanian, so if You need some translation - feel free to ask. Rally committe also now have long term strategy. It includes priority for international class.
Maybe official no, but Pech will not be official ;) i mean Fabia R5 car private crews
Good news from Poland. Skoda Fabia R5 for Marcin Gagacki from Oponeo Motorsport in 2017 Polish rally championship:
http://rajdy.autoklub.pl/gallery/show/id/1479295144
The car will be run by Rallybaron Oy (Ltd) rally team. They were second in the team championship this year. Their drivers in FRC this year were Jesse Turunen and Tommi Järvinen. Tommi Järvinen will drive Subaru next year and the news on Rallybaron’s web site says that Jesse Turunen might drive the Hyundai R5 (https://translate.google.com/transla...3D57&edit-text=).
But in the publishing news they say they will cooperate with young drivers in the future so I don’t think Salo is among them. Asunmaa is still young (26). They don’t know yet the first rally for the R5 due to delivery technical reasons.
