I cound't agree more. Last year it almost looked like he made it but it was until now, he got his chance. With a different jersey. Well, I don't think Leino is too unhappy he is not in Red Wings' roster ;)Quote:

That said, I think Leighton is as much an unknown and then some, and I think the Flyers are an enigmatic team that can be really good..or really bad. Chicago will push them in ways the Habs and the rest didn't...Quote:

May have been either bobby hull or denis savard.
Two rookie goalies is unusual. One has done it before...mainly Ken Dryden, but that was no ordinary team....and he wasn't just any rookie. Later editions of rookies making a mark have done some neat stuff, but you are right. It is the best story not really being made a lot of.Quote:

As for Toews close in points for the playoffs, I suspect Savard since he played a lot of places besides Chicago and he didn't have a lot of playoff runs deep when he was there.
So much for the rookies. Lieghton getting chased on 20 shots allowing 5 goals. I couldn't find any defense to speak of either. I guess the best part was the one goal lead to win the game.
The reportsa are Lieghton will start game 2 and the real Flywers and Blackhawks will be back.
I swear i don't believe I've every seen a blowout from both teams for an opening game to the cup finals.
