Entry list to Rallysprint Kopná published - http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=19648
Kostka, Tlusťák with i20 WRC... many Polish drivers (Grzyb, Habaj, Gabrys), Koči, Stengg from Austria... a lot of drivers preparing for Barum.
15 R5, 2 WRC, 1 S2000, 1 GT. Not bad for a second league and without Kopecký and Pech it may be interesting to follow even for Ucci :spin:
Video Valašská Rally: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knPGIZSOb0A
amazing video Mirek! thanks!
also nice drive from the guy with the yellow rear engined skoda.
While from the outside You can clearly see that the S2000 are already slow compared to the R5 with the onboards it's completely different. I still very much prefer the S2000 ones... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hcl6ujp0C8
Juuso Nordgren will join Jan Kopecky on second round of czech championship, Rallye Sumava Klatovy.
Shit, this time I can't go :(
A bit strange but Peugeot R2 Cup finally will be held along the Czech Championship even when it doesn't count all MČR events. It starts on Rally Šumava and continues with Český Krumlov, Hustopeče, Bohemia and Barum. It's held under promotion from the ASN itself.
Live results of Raly Kopná tomorrow since 9:13 here: https://rally-base.com/2018/vancik-r...nt-kopna-2018/
Spectacular video from shakedown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWIc66pas2k
The guy with Yacco 208 R2 is Erik Cais. Third rally ever and first with R2. He was by far fastest 2WD on shakedown setting 8th fastest time among R5 cars...
Kostka easy job today,24 sec advance after 4 ss
The rally finished with an easy victory for Kostka who won all stages (by the way he had comletely new car of the latest spec.). Pity he drives only so few rallies and basically only where he knows every stone around the road. Behind him it was a great battle. Nobody had an issue or made any mistake there, it was purely about driving.
1. Kostka (Fabia R5) 37:24,7
2. Tlusťák (i20 WRC) +34,5
3. Vlček (Fiesta R5) +35,8
4. Grzyb (Fabia R5) +36,5
5. Mareš (Fabia R5) +42,9
6. Koči (Fabia R5) +54,8
7. Pospíšilík (Fabia R5) +1:09,3
8. Habaj (Fiesta R5) +1:13,3
9. Trněný (Fabia WRC) +1:50,8
10. Jakeš (Fabia S2000) +2:07,3
I'd like to mention also 2WD because after some years it looks very promissing with new youngsters. In the end an experienced Svačina won, only 1,3 seconds behind him was 22 years old Talaš but another even younger drivers shone as well. 18 years old Cais in his first ever R2 start was the fastest of all but visiting a ditch brought him down to 3rd place. Also the youngest of them Petr Semerád, only 16 years old (the youngest brother of Martin), won two stages and showed great speed. He also lost time with an off.
And a funny situation at the end... You know the nice flames from the side exhaust of the Escort Cosworth. Today Neumann driving it in the historic event managed to set a chicane made of hay bales on fire! :D
Nice video from the promoter with some onboard footage, some of the roads are same with Barum rally.

Second half of the video is made of interviews. You can skip it although there are some nice shots as a background for the interviews.
This is what an exhaust flame from the Cossie can do with a chicane :D

Specially for Dimitris an onboard from the yellow Škoda 130LR of Urban. Pushing very hard!

In fact the car is not a proper historic one. You can see it has 6-speed sequential gearbox and hydraulic handbrake (by the way You can see he is all the time pumpingwith it - I guess an issue with hydraulic pressure?). The very beginning is some weird mickey-mouse stuff but especially last third is for sure worth watching. By the way most of the stage is former Barum stage and the last third is very popular testing road for Barum.
thanks Mirek!
only in Czech, could be a crazy enough to invest a 6 speed sequential at a rear engined skoda*
probably he had a malfunction with the handbrake(not instantbite?) and he is pumping the lever.
* this country deserves to have an wrc asphalt round. So many rally oriented people.
Actually he's not the first one :) First one was Petr Šimurda, great driver who was missing on Czech stages for couple of years and finally returned this year into proper historic competition with his LR in historic spec. That's the second spectacular 130LR (in works colors) which You could see in the videos from Valašská rally. Yesterday he was second overall in historics behind Neumann with Escort Cosworth.
This is him in 2013. Very spectacular! Once he even managed to finish 8th overall in a rallysprint championship event when there was some snow.

Watching the video is a bit painful for me as it is full of events and stages which are now only a history...
amazing drive this guy!
I would add one vid of Petr Šimurda, he also made gymkhana style series of video with his orange Skoda https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-Q4hWudR4Y
Awesome onboard of Vlček from the best stage of Kopná with a massive big moment at 6:00. Especially let's say from 4:30 to the finish it's likely the craziest rally road we have.

excellent camera position too
My photos from Rallysprint Kopná 2018 at http://www.rallylife.cz/vancik-rally...018-ivo-novak/
Specially for Ucci great onboard of Kostka from beautiful Kameňák stage (first 1,5 km is part of Troják from Barum, the rest is Kopná-specific): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcW79bxbkbU
Honestly I don't know. The netries for Šumava and ERC Historic Vltava are closed now however the seeded lists have not yet been published. Anyway in the modern event it's 18 R5, 2 WRC, 3 S2000, 6 GT or 15 R2 cars. The main contenders are for sure Kopecký, Pech, Lukyanuk. There is number of other foreign drivers like Nordgren or not that fast von Thurn und Taxis. Also some of them in 2WD class.
Spectacular video from Kopná!

Seeded entry list of Rallye Sumava:
http://entry.rallyesumava.cz
Really great entry list.
Also for our Austrian and German friends who come to Český Krumlov... the timetable was revealed. Quite some changes, mainly no Lipno stage, new stage Citajl (shall be held somewhere near Malonty stage) and some other minor changes.

Interview with Lukyanuk about his Czech mission (he confirms to run all events which don't clash with ERC, i.e. all except already finished Valašská rally and Hustopeče):

It's in Czech but quite understandeable with google translator: https://translate.google.com/transla...tml&edit-text=
At least we have someone to replace You in the entry list ;)
