Tänaks field visit on ss14 yesterday https://twitter.com/rannopoklonski/s...X-irSauSDSn7rA
Fourmoux touched barrier, Breen limping with puncture.
edit: Breen was off and got damage+puncture. (Breen said that something broke before he went off and he was just a passanger)
and also Evans with front-left puncture.
Sordo was so happy about the car that he may decide to do full next season from that emotion
Thierry on a big push
Thierry maybe let also others develop the car to finally loose the sentence “ I had so much under steer” :D
.., and Rovanperä with front-left puncture.
Thank you for your proposal, but I can mention whatever I want to mention :)
I know he picks rallies he likes, I know he is not good everywhere (and he is not unique on that). Last rally he clearly stated - till he can fight for best times, he is motivated, this is something to give him fuel. So, emotion matters.
The most interesting or funny thing for me is that Sordo is the most happy with the car out of the drivers. At least since yesterday lunch time
Nope. The team picks rallies where they run him.
Since 2017 he did not stop doing full seasons cause he didn't want, but because the team dropped him due to too bad pace on those rallies.
I find this discussion amazing tbh. Just a day ago there was big discussion on how his pace dropped in Rally1 on all rallies and especially in mixed conditions.
Now he does a few top times while fighting for 5th! on his home rally on dry tarmac and suddenly he should do full season....
I really like this powerstage
Really nice and flowing and fast. And looked magical today in the morning with orange sunrise
Nope, Neuville has won Sweden before as well as many podiums on wet gravel. You picked 1 out of 3 rally types listed.
The fact that Neuville can fight for championship even while being weak on that one rally type might have a bit to say as well.
But I get you were looking for quick troll response...
Another disappointing rally for Gus but it cant be easy driving on your limit but knowing you're off the best pace and not able to fight for anything.
Before mentioning something like that I really recommend to read what I wrote - I help you out: "Sordo was so happy about the car that he may decide to do full next season from that emotion"
Sordo had so nice feeling in the car he may want to do full season or decide to continue. This question is to decide for him.
Nothing about my recommendation, nothing about team decision - just pointing out how satisfied he was at the stage end.
In short - stop this demagogic BS.
Thank you Paul Nagle, great character !
Farewell Paul Nagle. A top co-driver and a very brave man to sit with Kris Meeke in a WRC car.
Evans sounds a bit more positive at the end but it's been a poor rally from him again.
I think Toyota confirms manu title already when Kalle gets to the finish. Even if Ogier would crash, it would be enough.
Sordo says this maybe his last rally.
I would have expected this performance from Tänak on Ypres not here
Disappointed like he said himself
Tanak blames himself for not being able to get the best from the car.
Maybe this is a way to keep well in with the team going forward and not criticising the car any more. A sign he is staying at Hyundai ?
PS is like... Oh, what a time from Sordo. And then you repeat that impression with every next one.. Tänak, Rovanperä, Neuville and the final master, Ogier (at the moment based on first 2 splits).
Solid rally by Neuville and mainly happy with the car from the start for a change.
Congrats Ogier! Masterful drive this weeken and somehow I have a feeling he will be back full time
Congrats Toyota - World Rally Champions ! :champion:
Damn ,the one time I didn’t put him 1st in the pickems and he wins, huge congrats to him & Benjamin, was an absolute pleasure to watch throughout the weekend.
not surpised with the result. i put pickems differently but kinda felt Ogier will take it and also Neuville will do good, i have said in the past that i consider them 2 of the best tarmac drivers in the series
Kalle and Ott kinda dissappointing this weekend but every driver has these kind of rallies now and then.
Msport, well, their most cheapest rally considering repair costs? But no performance at all. Kudos to Fourmaux to finish the rally this time after sitting out two rallies. Gus has to go, he is horrible.
Bring on Japan.
* Only Rally1 cars in top 10 and no one in Top needed super-rally for that.
* Only (known) impactful moments for M-Sporters.
* Tänak and Evans were a bit lost for finding setup, no other surprises. Maybe only that Ogier was that (dominantly) good.
* Rally was already settled after SS7, after that few position changes happened only for punctures.
Yes, 5 years ago... He was great in Sweden 2017 as well until he binned it. Recently not so good at fast rallies like Sweden, Estonia and Finland. Unfortunately we don't have Wales anymore in the calendar so that thing really doesn't hold any water.
Sordo has been 4th in Sweden and Finland around 2008-2009 and so on as well :D
On a serious note Sordo's major strength is his consistency which is very good value for a 3rd driver. To say that he is not good enough for a full season is a major statement and for me he has far better value than Meeke, Mikkelsen etc.
If HMSG and Dani decide to go with a full season for 2023 it would be the best solution IMHO.

* Suninen stable and clear winner
* Lindholm made really strong PS, 2 extra points against Kaijto (actually surprised that Kaijto made that good time in PS as well)
Will be interesting in Japan.
