M-Sport pair not hopeful of beatimg the Toyota's & Hyundai's...
https://dirtfish.com/rally/wrc/m-spo...ai-in-estonia/
Plus M-Sport is bringing a damper upgrade to Estonia to cope with the Rally Finland-like jumps, but that brings another slight setback for Suninen due to his lack of familiarity with the new damper.
“[Friday] will be my first kilometers with this car in this type of conditions, and actually I’m having my first jumps with this damper that I have on this rally, so there’s a lot of question marks in my mind,” he said.
Who ever updating WRC.com really needs to learn which cars each are driving https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f61254547a.jpg

Shakedown was challenging for us and it wasn’t the kind of start for the rally we planned. Let’s try to find a good rhythm and feeling for the driving. Thanks to the team for patching up the car after the unfortunate slip.
Lappi has new Estonia notes after co-driver binned them
Following Rally Estonia's original cancelation, Janne Ferm got rid of his pacenotes

Shakedown ✅ Quickest R5 through.
Had a bit of a scare on the last run when we encountered two moose in the stage !
from wrc plus it shows they will start in championship order to SS1
Last chance. Only 30 mins left for Pickems...
Same at the notice board

was it really so rough?
Oliver Solberg
@OliverSolberg01
It’s so rough on the Shakedown, there’s really not so much to be learned by continuing with another run! The risk is we’ll get a puncture or damage the car, so we’re heading back to service now to get ready for tonight’s first stage
Thumbs up
@RallyEstonia
The Belgian driver will approach this Rally Estonia with a lot of confidence, and thinks that due to the weather conditions (it has been raining a lot in recent days), he should not be too disadvantaged by his third place in the order of departure Saturday morning.
"We had a good feeling as soon as we entered the shakedown with the car, underlined Thierry Neuville at the microphone of Olivier Gaspard, the special envoy of the RTBF in Estonia. By being third on the road, we were able to surrender Keep in mind that the conditions were not too bad, even if the road deteriorates at first before improving afterwards. We will have to spit in our hands tomorrow, but that is also the objective: give it your all right from the start. With the rain it is difficult to determine which will be the best position in the starting order. I think that if the roads remain as wet as this morning, starting first is not too much bad. Then from the fifth, sixth or seventh place it will get better again. But I think the differences will be minimal. "

Bit wild by Neuville.
Awesome tricky stage.
Is the WRC+ 'No Comms' option working for people ? Mine keeps reverting back to English on it's own.
Nice run Lappi.
Interesting to see direct comparison between the updated i20 in the main team and the old one of Loubet on this stage.
The new one sinks and dives around like a Yaris does, the old one is this super-stiff looking thing standing high on top of the springs.
So much better having the SSS on gravel when it's a gravel event.
When they have them on tarmac the cars look pretty awful on their gravel wheels and suspension.
Good start Rally Estonia.
Finally that one was a ''joke'' = understood that was an improper comment.

It was obviously a joke all along, if you have ever listened to Kalle’s stage end interviews. It’s his style.
Loubet is with new aero btw

You mean old aero I guess. Cause your pictures show the exact differences:
- rear wing
- roof scoop
- small wings above and behind front wheels copied from Toyota
- sideplates on the lower front sides
(not shown are the vertical plates in the rear wheelarches on new Hyundais)
Btw. Loubet has aero that is even pre-Finland and Estonia last year, so over 14 months. Basically he runs similar car that Breen run on rally Estonia last year. Both the looks and especially the behavior of the car shows how much Hyundai changed since then.
Prangli beginning is very quick, Ogier didn't really shift down from 6 during the first road
Wow that Prangli road around 2:20...just wide and flat out
Am I alone here? :D All Estonians on the stage and center Europeans still sleeping? :D
Surprisingly Neuville fastest at split 2, maybe there's anyway some cleaning!
Soittimena?
Splittimes?
Suninenn seemed to lose 3 seconds at the first split
