Just got next email from adress rallyopinions@gmail.com and need to share with rally fans, also your opinions about whole situations on Rally Acores 2013. I don't know what's really going on there and who sent ...
RALLY AZORES : A RACE FOR SURVIVAL OR A RALLY?
Rumors
A lot of drivers, mostly the foreign drivers, who have participated to the Rally Azores, couldn’t have carried out in the last days the practices of the special stages and so they couldn’t have had the correct pacenotes. This is happened in some traits of the official track for the extreme conducting environmentals because it was foggy, the visibility was about 5 metres in many traits, also the abundant rains have made many parts of the course virtually impassables. Yesterday many drivers, captained by Robert Kubica, have asked for the deletion of a race and the shortening of the 2nd special stage.
Yesterday the situation was bad and also today it isn’t improved, indeed it may have worsened. The question which, for the rumors, a lot of drivers, mostly the foreign drivers, pose themselves is :
Is Rally Azores a race for survival or a Rally? Does it make sense to run a Rally in these situations?
This is the question which a lot of drivers pose themselves and it isn’t the 1st time that this situation happens.
Is there ever a non-rainy, non-foggy season on Azores or is it the same all year?

It is on the track of cyclones.. best months are June and July, the worst months should be October, November December. April is not too bad, May is much better already.
Yesterdays big rains were approximately 80% of the total average precipitation in April
Perhaps in the future they could move it to June or July. It would be a shame to lose this unique and beautfiul event.
Weather, weather, very difficult rally....... Finale will be interesting. Really good gravel experience for Kubica.
On this video you can see how the conditions were today in Sete Cidades stage and confirm how Orsak crashed:

Kubica accepts blame for Azores crash (In my opinion, not pushing has a different meaning for Kubica and for the rest of the people:rolleyes :)
The car is being fixed. Julian Porter uploaded his photo some hours ago:

Heavy rain had decimated some of the roads used for round four of the FIA European Rally Championship, which prompted the Azorean government to mobilise almost 200 personnel to work through the night to repair the damage.
Armed with a fleet of road-building machines, their efforts meant the damage to the Coroa da Mata, Feteiras, Graminhais, São Brás/Vila Franca and Sete Cidades has been repaired.
“We have to thank the President of Açores, Vasco Cordeiro, and all the various departments and workers for their efforts,” said Coelho. “This was a big undertaking and involved many people working very long hours and a lot of expense.”
François Ribeiro, Motorsport Development Director of Eurosport Events, the ERC promoter, said: “We have seen already how amazing the support is from the government here in Açores. They have made possible the live television coverage, helped to ensure that everybody got here follow the airline strikes and now they have done this extra work. We really must take our hats off to them.”

BTW, after knowing the cancellation of SS12, I can't get out of my mind Rohrl's words about what happened in Arganil in 1980. I suppose that nobody drives in his head now. The involution of rallying, definitely.
Counting the days until the premiere of Deimel's new documentary about that legendary day.
Remember that Bouffier was not helped in Açores by another team which has an extra 207 engine on their truck. This is the other side of the coin:
Mark Wallenwein
"Wow - Finally our car was fixed in 45 minutes after our little roll thanks to the help of 3 different teams with 3 different brands! Back on track of SATA Rally tomorrow! :) Thanks to everybody, this was great - Rally-Family!!! #FIAERC #SataRallyAçores #rallyfamily"
Well Kubica did admit to " I was driving at normal speed I would say" which is pushing it going by normal standards.. :)
He should've listened to Meeke's warning: "Expect the unexpected on Sete Cidades" :)
Whatever, rallying needs people like Kubica, his personality but mostly how he steers a car. Going to be a good season.

“On the last stage I was not so concentrated because I had a problem with the middle seatbelt. It was a little bit hurting and I was not concentrated at all. Over every bump it was not good down there.”

Organisers also could put one day extra for recce, just in case due weather conditions, its not easy to make correct pacenotes on the fogQuote:

Like yesterday, there is a lot of fog on SS13 in Açores.
FIA ERC @FIAERC 1m No Raoux no Sousa at the end of the stage... and Moura didn't see anything... :(
Kopecky beats Breen by 2.6s...
Magalhães says that he saw other cars crashed and he lost his rhythm. He saw Sousa in the beginning in the fog, he went straight. Crew is OK.
iRally @Official_iRally 2m Kopecky wins 16:08.3: "They should shorten the stage....we had fog at the start....we had fog in in the recce. We do not know where to go."
More cancellations to come...
Kopecky after SS13: "I think they should shorten the stage and now again there was heavy fog after the start. We have heavy fog during the recce and there is heavy fog now and you do not know where you go..."
Any live stream for SS14 ?
ah kubicas time is corrected, some mintes ago he had lost almost 5 minutes.
To me, this is the link that works better: RTP Açores
Wind but no rain on the stage.
Kubica already 30s down on Moura at 2nd split ...
Breen pips Kopecky by 0.5s on SS14 despite smoke in the car... great performance.
