Pino. Blame it on Sony for using the Cell processor which is notoriously difficult to code for :p

Ah well I still doubt I will have a PS3 then, at least that way any glitches in the game can be ironed out for the PS3 version.

Picked up the game yesterday and haven't had too much time to play yet, but first impressions:

- Very different to Forza
- Far more arcade than simulation
- Very nice graphics
- Neat menu system
- Varied races/rallys
- Big career mode
- Fairly easy so far, even upping the difficulty level
- Car handling could and should be better

So now you've got both Dirt and Forza2... :hmph: ;)

I`ve found, like Forza2, the more you play DIRT the better it gets, though it is quite easy, very arcade. I`m buzzing through the career mode without any problems. I`ve now got some half decent cars and the stages seem better for that, a decent feel of speed. Handling is so so, I thought/hoped it would be better. Graphics and sound are good but quite impressed with the menu as I`m not keen with the menu on Forza2.

I can imagine playing Forza2 still in 12 months time, not sure the same can be said for DIRT and I love rallying. We shall see, hope I`m wrong.

Overall it`s a 7/10 from me too. So far :)

Pino, from where do you have the realease date of 5th October for the PS3 version?

I agree with that. Dirt is very enjoyable to pick up and play for a while, but Forza has far more depth and life in it.

I really anticapted this game and had some optimism, but I have to agree. It manage to annoy me more than Toca Race Driver 3, where the AI cars voluntarily rams into you. I just played the demo and uninstalled it shortly. The menu system alone gives me seizure. Then there the annoying flashing thing in the start and the annoying talking codriver. The pacenote is so bad, I rely on it since I don't use onscreen arrows, left six, left right, its just very counterintuitive. The worse has to be the control, over sensitive and just couldn't get it right. I was also looking for the option to turn of the hdr lighting but there wasn't.

I think the stages were alright and provide some new challanges than the previous games because there are a lot of destructable 3d objects this time. I only know the stage from the demo, but it looked straighter and smoother.
