Top Gear!

I thought it was entertaining but there wasn't as much content as usual. The Alfas made up most part of the show. What I don't like is these days, the fun is sucked out of it when you can so clearly notice how set up it is. Maybe I've just grown up! :s

When JC asked why theirs no women racing drivers did anyone find themselves wanting to scream at the TV, "Fiona Legatte!"?

Whilst I am making this post my view on not just the complaints about the drink-driving allegation in the North Pole challenge...which was first broadcast in SERIES 9....ABOUT A YEAR AGO...Who on this forum ever takes any thing Jeremy, James and Richard are asked to do as gospel? As a lesson in how do behave?

Imbeciles! Top Gear is ENTERTAINMENT which uses cars and driving as the main medium by which they are meant to perform the challenges.

What I was saying was JC was talking about female drivers in F1 :) If I'm not very much mistaken Fiona Legatte isn't an F1 driver :)

I have to say the series so far has been a bit of a dissapointment tbh. It's still far better than fifth gear, but considering what was expected it's not been brilliant. I hate top gear stuntman, nuff said :p :

From what I've managed to catch on youtube, the Alfa challenge was good. I particularly liked the gag about James memorising the corners of the circuit from a map.

I've solved the scripting issues to my own satisfaction by accepting that it's an entertainment TV show, and not a reality show. It'd probably be a bit boring if it was unscripted.

I disagree. If done correctly [ironic though it sounds], unscripted work turns out better imo. If Top Gear actually raced properly with no gimmicks, it would be a more useful test for the cars and could pose some funny problems, rather than setting them up.

But if it works for you, I'm happy for you. It doesn't for me though. :)
