Its coming soon. Should be available in the UK within the next two weeks.
Good stuff - its meant to be an xmas present to myself so sooner the better! Want to make a solid start on my WTCC collection which currently stands at a rather pitiful one!
Just as an aside, I'm curious about the Lacetti models doing the rounds. Has anyone got one of these and what are they like quality wise?
Is it going to be made by Spark or Minichamps or someone else? But now that Honda is all but confirmed, I wonder if someone will now produce a 1/43 model for them?Quote:

From memory, before the forum lost all it's history. I'm sure AlfaFan said he has one?
Could be wrong!
I have one on order, at 43r.com. I've seen them on ebay, but I prefer to buy from retailers.
Sorry AlfaFan, I thought it was you who said they have one!
Can you give me a link to where you are buying yours from? I have not been able to find a decent picture of one yet!
The site I bought it from did not have an image of it (yet).
Here's where I bought it from (43r.com)

I have however, seen this image:

IMO it looks alright. Slightly too much like a toy model maybe, but its the only Chevvy WTCC model available anywhere, so I'll take it!
Plus it's a Menu car! I know people that collect Alan Menu cars. I have all his Renault Laguna's.
Worth considering!
I have seen alot off these Chevy models on eBay, although i have looked i must admit i am not yet temtped by one. They do look pretty smart though.
I have also noticed quite a few 2006 models are now on eBay, trouble is like Alfa Fan suggests when they are new its probably better to go to a retailer and buy them, no bargains on eBay just yet.
I prefer a retailer for many reasons:
1. Security
2. You KNOW you will get the model
3. They always arrive in top condition (at least in my experience)
Thats very true, but they are dearer most of the time.
I have only had two bad experiences with eBay models so far (touch wood) in 2 or 3 years that i have been a member (i forget how long), once the model didn't turn up, i chased it up but lost out. And the other was recently ish, i bought a 94 BTCC Harvey Laguna from a seller in Frnace, he sent me the wrong one (Menu) which i already had, i told him about this and he corrected his mistake by sending me the one i bought originaly. I got lucky too, he never asked for the wrong car back, two for the price of one.
Got my Priaulx Macau model in the post this morning - looks rather good. Just got to wait for my Rangoni car to arrive now.
Got mine too, very nice it is.
The Lacetti model is by Norev.
The Chevrolet Lacetti WTCC model is in stock at 43r.com now. Guess I just have to wait for it to be delivered to me now :)
Now added the Rangoni BMW to the collection - need to add an Alfa Romeo or Chevy really or I risk the chance of having all the same make!
There's one here... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...2674&rd=1&rd=1
Not much cheaper than where I got it from. I suspect quite a few will appear on ebay soon. No major UK diecast retailer appears to have taken it (Grand Prix Legends, Trax, etc)
Why does that not surprise me!Quote:

Meanwhile, the Macau 2005 cars of Priaulx and Huisman arrived today. Both are of excellenet quality and are really good additions to my collection :)
Can't be long until my Chevrolet Lacetti arrives now either. Expect it will arrive some time this week.
Just picked up a 1/43 Priaulx Macau BMW. The Huisman one looks sooo plain.
I guess I have to wait a year or two for my cheap Chevy Lacetti. RIght now 25 GBP is just too much.
My Lacetti eventually arrived this morning. Quality is as good as you would get from Minichamps - looks very good IMO.Quote:

EDIT

Looks good
The Lacetti model does look very good. I shan't be buying one though, sticking to BTCC models from now on.
IF Clyde Valley DO get the £500000 needed to get the Chevies, you could buy the Chevrolet model and convert the graphics.
My 1/43 Priaulx Macau BMW just came. Overall, the car looks good except the BMW roundels seemed to be a bit poorly applied? How does everyone else's look? But I'm afraid to try and fix it as I may make it worse or damage the decals more?
For those of you who have decided to collect the Scalextric cars.. Have you seen these 2005 Seats of Plato and Rydell??
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEAT-TOLEDO-WT...QQcmdZViewItem
Finally, a WTCC Accord, but sadly in Scalextric scale only??
http://cgi.ebay.com/Honda-Accord-WTC...QQcmdZViewItem
Seen a few of those on ebay. Not really tempted as it looks too toyish for me. (Yes, I know it is effectively a toy!). Would like to see someone make a proper model of it.
I see there is a Huff 1/43 model - now I wouldn't half like that
Where?
Never seen a Huff 1/43 model, although i pressume he means a Chevy Laccetti diecast model?
Same as Alain Menu's.
As for that Scalextric Honda, the detail looks pretty good, but i would have doubts over the quality of the plastics, same goes for the Seats by Scalextric. And i also have my doubts over the scale of them, 1/32 ish, not sure how they would relate in terms of size (mm) too 1/43. Like you all, i wish Spark or someone similar would just build a Diecast of the WTCC grid, including the Seats, Hondas aswell as the current set of models they produce.
Well, I guess if position/pose the cars carefully enough, you could take action shots of the 1/32 and 1/43 cars together!Quote:

spoke to Huffy today and it is cosher and very nice and some will be available through Chevy in a few weeks I believe.
Like the Menu one? I got it from 43r.com, who stock Norev. Do you think they will have them? As I'd like to purchase a Huff one too.
