Ouninpohja, Paijala, Myhinpaa, Harju, Ruuhimaki as power stage. In terms of less obvious choices, I like Horkka from 2015-2016.
There is probably some reasoning behind this that I am unaware of but I am surprised Ouninpohja is used in 32km-34km version so rarely. I understand wanting to make some changes in itinerary every year but in last ten years, only 2015, 2016 and 2024 had it.
Same with Monte Carlo this year, it had 10 different stages and while they were generally good, a lot of most classic stages are left unused for many years.
There´s a lot of stages west of Laukka like Palsankylä and Valkola. Also I´d like Sirkkamäki (from 2010 I think) south of Konnevesi.

Parkkola is 2003 version, but the start is from Road 607 like Surkee 2016.
Leustu is combination of end 2/3rds of Leustu 2012 with ending of Horkka 2016, running the Palolahdentie loop from Horkka in opposite direction.
Ouninpohja ends after Kakaristo junction.
Saarikas is reversed, with the start on the big road before last years start and ends after the Tänak crash corner. Small changes made to start of Myhinpää.
Harju isn't a loop anymore, but the lenght given doesn't match either the 90's or 10-20's version, so it remains to be seen.
Ruuhimäki SD wasn't covered, but I'd assume it's the same as last year.
Nice 24kms of powerstage :D
....but 2 stages give 10 points
Wow Ouninpohja as power stage. Wonderful
We are planning to visit Rally Finland after the beautiful autum edition in 2021 again. On our list is the infamous crest/bend section at the Päijälä stage near the end. Is it possible to get there via the finishline or is this road closed form the main road towards the finish?
In 2024 there was a map that several roads to this section were closed. Is the only way to walk from the Päijälä junction to the jumps?
Thanks for helping us out.
The rallymagazine will only became revealed later quite close to rally. But, it should be pretty much the same as it was in 2024. Päijälä is great stage for spectators. Hope you have a nice visit to Finland and enjoy.
Rally Guide 1 out today ;

Hello guys.. Looking again to attend this rally.. But it is really difficult to find any accommodation with reasonable price. Do you have any that are not on airbnb on booking?
Just wait till its closer to the rally, the last two years we booked at the end of may or even later i think and got it with reasonable price, both time through AirBnb
Also depends what is reasonable of course
So the entry list was closed yesterday and will be published on Friday. Then we will know how serious Ogier is with tile run in 2025
Seb Ogier will most likely sit this one out. The motivation to compete is lower than it was last year.
First, Elfyn and Kalle are in strong championship positions especially now that the tricky gravel rounds are out of the way. Two, he has an obvious soft-spot for Ott Tanak, unlike the case last year with Neuville. Third, Toyota's manufacturers' lead is very healthy, and if that situation were to change in the next few events, there would be plenty of opportunities later on in the season to lend a hand.
In my opinion, the motivation is even better this year. This year, the pace is truly there to compete with anyone so he feels that he can do it. Therefore I wouldn't bet on it.
But if Ogier sits out, Oliver probably will get his place. Latest I heard was that the decision about Oliver will be made just before the deadline. So if Seb decides to drive, I think Oliver sits out and vice versa.
Hardly. Seb won 8 titles in a row and then went part time through lack of motivation. Of course if he wanted to do full time he would win the 9th, 10th, 11th... But he chooses not to and is vocal enough about it. What's with all the 'he feels like he can do it this year'? It's the same every year because he's a cut above everyone else.
I'll bet on him not going to Finland but if he does it'll be a co-decision with Toyota and having nothing to do with a driver championship charge.
Hardly? Guy was pushing for 9th last year, everybody saw that. Only his own mistakes took that away from him.
The turning up was for the manufacturers championship because they were flagging and he dropped a round in Poland he'd have made up for later on. A driver championship would've been a sideshow which, obviously, generates it's own chat.
Ogier was absolutely desperate after his crash in CER. Was it because he didn't care about his 9th title? Or because he felt sorry for Toyota? Yeah, nobody believes that.
A driver who IS (not was) a cut above everyone else, wouldn't bin it 3 times in a row, losing a golden chance to the title. On Pirelli + hybrid car, Ogier wasn't going to win another title. This year with Hankook and hybridless is a different story. He's retired from being a full time driver, but if there is a good chance, he will try to get the 9th title.
He's paid to do a job for Toyota, that's his motivation. I'm not saying he's faultless and after CER, one round to go, Toyota were behind Hyundai, he had failed them. This time last year before Finland, Toyota were behind Hyundai. This year they are 65 points ahead. Do Toyota need him in Finland this year? Elfyn and Kalle should have it covered. Let's find out Friday.
Ogier suffered last year after time out of the car. This year he's going well and the best thing he can do for Toyota and himself is to go all-in and drive every round.
And with Tanak back on form, it's better for Toyota to have Ogier to fight him and help either Evans or himself to take the WDC.
I don't believe that he does it only for Toyota. Ogier loves to win, he was and still would be very reluctant to give up positions to Toyota teammates.
Why was he so desperate after the crash in CER? Two options: either he realized he's out of the driver championship fight because of his crash, or he was sad because he costed Toyota valuable points for the manufacturer title. I don't think many will pick option two.
Well Ogier won last year in Finland, of course a lot of it was to do with the main contenders crashing out but I remember that he actually had very good pace on the event.
Game on! Ogier goes to Finland!

Oliver Solberg was suppoed to be at Höljes the upcoming weekend, but was told to report at Rally Finland.
It was speculated that it was instead of Ogier, but we now know that Ogier will drive in Finland, so what will Oliver be doing/driving in Finland?

M-Sport?
As expected, Ogier will drive in Finland. And my gut says after Estonia, Ogier will do rest of the championship as he smells blood (you heard it here first :D ). He is in a great form, Yaris and Hankook suit him well and why not go for a 9th.
Of course he will never admit it, but yeah, I think he is after that 9th title. He will just surprisingly enter every event from now on and at the end say that he didn't have other choice.
My personal opinion is it all depends on Finland result. If he fails there then I think he isn’t going for the championship but if he succeeds then definitely
I think Toyota just wants drivers title. And they don't believe in Evans and Rovanpera. Tanak is just looking better now and Ogier is the only one to beat him.
Good for rally fans also, who are going to watch in Finland :)
Sound like it's going to be mega fight!
What Ogier is doing is really dishonest and i hope someone among the drivers will eventually call him out on it. He's competing for the title while hedging his reputation by pretending he isn't. He'll either win the title or he'll devalue someone elses title by pretending he wasn't even trying. It's such poor sportsmanship.
Being so afraid of being beaten is pretty damn pathetic
