Looks hard to do more than two stages on Saturday sadly, same as in Sweden
Great to see Ouninpohja back and one totally new stage.
Not so excited about Ruuhimäki back already now and Laajavuori as a PowerStage.
Whats wrong with Ruuhimäki? Its an awesome stage

1. April? Back to 1955 driving tests? This isn't exactly a good look.
If it improves safety then I dont see any problem with it and also built chicanes on gravel are shit, they get so rutted. They also could get hit/destroyed or moved out of place so it would be unfair for some of the drivers.
Weren't virtual chicanes used in ERC last year, or a couple of years ago? How was that experience?
It’s a good look, almost as though rallying is using what is now old technology that national rallies have been using for years. It works for everyone. They tried all sorts of things in previous years and hopefully this allows the world’s best stage to run without issues.
Your 1955 comment suggests you don’t know the history of rallying….
Could we read between the lines that JML will perticipate SRF in Toyota Rally1 car this year as well?
Of course nobody want to go against FIA or any authority. But internally there was big discussion about it before the race and also during. Everything is about GPS technology, which was never projected to measure the speed. So there were lot of issues, unit not showing speed properly, some driver were braking two times as first one was not identified etc. And as you can see, no penalty was finally applied. And from "outside" of the car, it looks really strange when in straight part, where you should feel the speed and there is no obstacle, cars are suddenly extremely slowing down "for nothing".
Each to their own I guess, I just don't see the advantage and don't really see the problem people have with chicanes, after all rallying was never about equal conditions.
The driving test comment was obviously tongue in cheek, but please enlighten me what I should know.
Very important that they mark properly where that is also for spectators in maps, don't do like Sweden "Here's a military area, but we won't tell anyone why you can't go there"
Pajari will now make his wrc debut in Finland & not Latvia: https://toyotagazooracing.com/wrc/release/2024/0624_01/
Ogier is doing Finland? Why? Is he still thinking about the WDC or Toyota is starting to fear about losing the Constructor's?
Best field so far this year...?
5 Yaris, is a new record?
An interesting one certainly! I guess it helps their manufacturer's championship chances and Evans drivers title hopes (and possibly his own). Katsuta's very poor performance in Poland probably doesn't instill much confidence in Toyota and on the other hand Lappi in Hyundai's third car should be close to the top, if having a trouble free run. It's been a long time (2015 I think) since Ogier has even had a podium in Finland so it's hard to guess his pace, although he'll have a far better starting position than he had in most other years since. At the very least he should be able to stay ahead of Neuville for Saturday points.
Happy to see Heikkila, Virves and of course JML in a Yaris GR Rally 2 is a great surprise.
Already last year Ogier wanted to do Finland in extra car but was told they did not have enough.
So I guess it's a combination of these 3 things.
where can i see the official viewing places and etc?
is it really only this physcial one that i can get only start of the rally week? https://www.coregoshop.fi/sectorally...2024-route-map
The official Rally Programme is usually available to download the week before the rally, the link has been on here on previous years.
Here's some info ;https://sectorallyfinland.fi/en/elementor-11854/

New liveries for Kalle and Ogier in Finland.. seems like they have forgotten that Evans is also in the team :D
Although he is the one who could tell them how to drive in Finland :D
https://www.facebook.com/share/QNMiE7QSCLeDGHLh/
There’s also one for Pajari: https://x.com/samipajari/status/1816...385428498?s=61
And they didn’t only forget Evans but Katsuta too…
I think it is to promote their Special edition GR yarises no? Evans doesnt have one so no promotion needed. And ultimately Pajari is a private driver like Sesks in Latvia. Attachment 2546
