Nice, some new stages!
Are gravel stages in the same place as last year? If so, they should extend the gap between cars at 4 minutes but I don't know if it is possible
Looks good - trying to get to this one this hear - is it possible to see more than one stage (two passes) on each day?
Yes, last year we saw 11 stages. 4/4/3.
Google Earth Map Espana is online http://planetemarcus.com/saison-wrc/...-espagne-2015/
This year I think could be a rainy edition!! For remember a good year, the 2012 has been a little muddy!! :-)
Here the link!
Enjoy it!

A rainy edition certainly would make it an even more interesting edition of the rally. It's great to see that it's once again a mixed surface event. :)
Can't wait for October 22nd!
Managed to get a last-minute trip sorted so I'm really excited for this. My first visit to Spain, and then Wales GB to round out the year.
Does anyone know if they plan to do the historic cars again? I'm also assuming there will be an autograph session in Barca that just hasn't been announced yet.
Dry gravel, rain on tarmac than please ;)
Really looking forward to it too!
Visiting Catalunya as well this year, for the first time. :) Regarding the itinerary and maps I think it should be possible to see a nice rally, only the powerstage on sunday looks like a really boring stage to me...
Citroen confirmed Lefebvre for Catalunya
Citroën Racing @CitroenRacing Corte, Corse
Pour lui permettre d’accumuler davantage d’expérience, @SLefebvreRallye sera au départ du RallyRACC Catalunya au volant d’une DS 3 WRC. #WRC
waste money, and valuable wrc seat imho.
entrylist wrc out today or tomorrow? not ?
Disappointed by the number of WRC cars, I didn't realise Abbring wasn't there and I guess Block is completely done with WRC, but all the best contenders of WRC2 are there and that has potential to be a great fight. Three works Skodas, Breen, etc.
Well, first of all I would like to apologize all of you for my morning mystification. Skoda surprised me in good way.
Second: Does it mean Al Attiyah and all 3 Skoda guys will score points in WRC2? Nobody is skipping the registration to this round to score points in Wales instead of Spain?
Third: Do you think Pontus somehow canceled his registration from winter? He has registered himself into WRC2 before Swedish rally. Is it possible to cancel it after one round and get your money back? ...I am confused why there are 3 "SKODA Motorsport (I and II)" cars if they can register Pontus as privateer. (You know what I mean) and Skoda can pay the start directly to Pontus.
All those guys must be registered for WRC2 as otherwise they would be in the bottom half of the entry list. I highly doubt Tidemand would be able to cancel after Sweden. If he'd done that he'd only have six scoring rounds not the ideal seven. It wouldn't make sense to do that? Maybe it is just to reward Kopecky and also to perhaps try to do some team orders?
Or maybe they want WRC 2 decided for Lappi either way before Wales so they can put him in a fourth Polo ;)
Neither Tidemand nor Kopecký were planned for full WRC2. Both had only selected rounds while Lappi was the only one planned for whole championship.
Simmi: I agree with you. You know what I meant. Registration of brand new team "Skoda motorsport II" costs money. Why don´t they use 2x "Skoda Motorsport I" +1 x"Pontus Tidemand". Do you think it is because of they are so proud they want the name "Skoda motorsport" on the car? I would prefer to have the money in my pocket.
Sure but I doubt that Skoda planned at the start of the year to enter 3 cars in Spain. Clearly something changed from the original plan.
Tidemand drove his way into the chance of a WRC2 title so it's not a surprise they will give him 6-7 rounds. Maybe they wanted to reward Kopecky but Lappi was more confident about Spain than GB? Not that he's done either before.
Edit: sorry, I see your point. Probably, like Simmi says, it's an extra entry for Kopecky. Entry fee will be small fish for Skoda, assuming they even make them pay it.
Try and get as many cars between Lappi and Nasser! Nasser was very strong on the gravel last year but had an RRC so time will tell!
Really nice entry, good quality through out the field, can't wait to go now!
I believe that the original plan was to take the portion of events for Lappi and split it between Tidemand and Kopecký whose main targets were elsewhere (and which they both achieved). What came between was most likely result of lobbying from Even Rally.
Turan and Duffy with Fiesta R5. Good see some different names.
How can we find out which WRC2 driver has choosed this round to make points or just to participate?
Last column says which chapionship they are registered for
http://www.rallyracc.com/2015/descargas/inscritos.pdf
only Fuchs and Lefebvre (driving WRC) are missing from WRC2 TOP15 points-scorers, so great entry!!!
All in all it's a nice list.
Every championship in action barring R-GT. 15 WRC is about what you'd expect. Four DS3 WRC for the first time since Monte I think. As confusing as we've found it the 3x works Skodas is cool.
Just missing that Loeb (or even a Block) to give it that bit of x-factor but can't complain.
The category is 'RC2', eligibility is 'WRC2'. This Germany entry list is a bit clearer from that point of view. Note guys like Protasov/Bouffier on there - http://www.adac-rallye-deutschland.d...2015_08_16.pdf
Well I'm a lucky boy. We just happen to be in southern France in a Motorhome & we decide we can come over to watch the Catalunya WRC. If not been to a rally before, anybody got any advice on where to go, to how long, where to camp etc. Am a complete noob, so any good advice would help, thanks in advance.
Nice one! Which day are you likely to be in the area Izzy?
Nice to see Brendan Reeves back in WRC field ! :)
A bit disappointed not to see a guy with WRC coming here. Usually there were ... that's sad to notice that now anyone is trying to do one round or two time to time. We have quasi all the year the same field of WRC, no more good one shot drivers :(
Do they produce programmes any more for Catalunya? I know you can get everything online these days but still nice to have.
Err...hello? Is there anybody out there?
