This is an occasion where the teams need to put their foot down.
F1 returned to Imola, but in that case it was only after big changes to the track, which isn't going to be possible at Las Vegas.
If we should quit on every track where someone lost his life, then we don't have much left.
But this track is NOT suitable for IndyCar... At least, not with 34 cars. But I'm sure it's gonna work out the same way with 28 cars. If IndyCar wanted a race on the new Vegas oval, they had to do that in 2006 or 2007, when there weren't more then 18 or 19 cars running in an IndyCar race.
I would like it if they returned to Homestead by the way.
If the new cars do not pack race and are also a bit slower, why not go back? Apart from the fact that tickets were free and the stands were still empty, that is...

The new car won't be slower, and it doesn't has to be. There just has to be less pack racing on the track. I won't take the risk in losing someone again. Why not make a return to Rockingham or Lausitz? Those tracks would be safer, at least there's more space on those tracks and the drivers will have to lift in the turns.
