Sadly, the R8 will not be at Le Mans because the is built to FIA GT3 spec.
I'm kind of confused. Aren't the Ford GTs in the ALMS the same GT3 spec as the ones in Europe?
I'm gonna go with no. Why would they choose to run a slower car and why would they even be allowed to? Dr. Ullrich said they might consider building a GT2 version.Quote:

There's an FIA GT3 series which runs as a support to FIA GT rounds, and a lot of national GT series in Europe are running to GT3 regs- a GT3 car shouldn't take too much work to adapt to SCCA World Challenge regs eitherQuote:
