Possible mechanical issues is not the same as affecting the car's speed though. Driver's, like people, dislike change. Given some time and development I'm sure they would still enjoy driving them.
I didnít know the Roger Albert Clark went through Guisborough? I ride my bike there a lot and itís definitely wide enough and you could get a fair few miles in there too. The old RAC did... an ex...
Also the 5-speed gearbox with no paddle shift. Latvala actually said in an interview that he thinks that will cause more mechanical issues because the paddle shift is more careful for the gearbox...
