Depends about the future of Rally Dakar I would say...

Mitsu will definitely be Gr.N force but not sure about their top level involvement. Their first priority seems to be the Dakar Rally but now whole Dakar Rally is in doubt, who knows what they are going to do??? But as far as I know, they haven't done any development toward building WRCar, so even if they decide to ditch Dakar in favor of WRC, it will take a while before we see them on SS.

Did you go the RS Ray? Or where you game enough to go the flappy paddle route?

I was at the Tokyo Auto Salon where those pictures were taken and talked to a Mitsubishi guy there. We talked about the Mitsubishi of old in WRC and so on, then I asked him whether there is a chance to see a works team back in the WRC.

He said it is planned that they return although not for the next couple of years he said. He wouldn't go into detail but he said to me in Japanese "You will see us back" and tapped his nose and winked as if to say 'keep it under your hat' kind of thing...

Will have to wait and see what happens...

We've got the RS version, although we have been told that the auto with the paddle shift is quicker around the Nurburgring.

ss/t version is not going to be homologated in gr.N

Mirek

Yes, true. In fact car with that SST gearbox is 40 kgs heavier than standard 5MT and dogbox will be probably even lighter.

Here in Jamaica one of our local rally stars, Douglas Gore, has received his Evo X RS.The car was officially unveiled 3 weeks ago at our local Mitsubishi dealer. He plans to run the car in Grp N trim for now.Development will be slow as parts for the car have not yet been fully homologated.Being a Mitsubishi fan I am elated but I recognise that Mitsu have not been on their winnings ways lately and it may take a while to get back there.Anyways, here are the few pics I managed to find of the launch. At the point of these pics the car is in road trim and doesnt yet have a roll cage.By the time you read this one should be installed...enjoy...
