That's when my passport will expire. Then I'm going to be someone else. Apperently a magazine is a stronger proof of identity than an expired ID. I didn't know you stop being you the day your ID expires.

West Virginia Mayor Uses Magazine to Prove Identity to Airport Security

Monday, January 28, 2008

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Charleston Mayor Danny Jones had a problem as he tried to get through the security gate at a California airport: He had misplaced his driver's license, and the expired one in his wallet wouldn't do.

The guards at John Wayne Airport in Orange County searched his bag, he told the Charleston Daily Mail for a story published Monday.

Then he remembered picking up a copy of Charleston Magazine while on his way to the West Coast for a little rest and relaxation.

Inside was a photograph of him standing in downtown Charleston and an article Jones had written as mayor welcoming visitors to the state capital.

Only then was he allowed to board his flight home.

I don't worrry about such things. In my country guys who died 10 years ago are still on the lists of the elective centers and may vote or are invited to do the yearly medical checks.

Reminds of the story I read last night about the guy who says that he isn't dead but the authorities in Poland won't believe him!

My cousin has just renewed her ID card. She's 63 and the card expires in 2099.

My former girlfriend had moved sometime before the presidential election. She was registerd at her new polling station but her old registration wasn't cancelled either. Needless to say, come the election day she voted twice. Unfortunately the government resorted to a massive fraud and our guy lost anyway. But that was fun.

I still exist until 2017. I guess when I renew it I'll have to have my fingerprint, retina and semen put in there or something.

I have two renewable ID cards, each citizen is supposed to only an ID card as it may bias number of population in a country, because vehicles were registered in two different address.

I was surprised when seeing scale of my high on the background of photo in the new id card was not less than 175 cm, quite acceptable for playing volley ball. ;)

My work ID expires in 2020, which is cool... I probably won't look anything like the photo in twelve years... mind you, I don't look that much like the photo now!

Got it back :) I expire on 21/7/2015 :)

Slightly annoyed. In the time since I've had the passport I've entered the UK 3 times, Finland 2 times, Switzerland 2 times, Australia 1 time and France 1 time as well. But I only have stamps for Finland, UK and Australia :angryfire I think it should be against the rules to not stamp someone's passport :angryfire
