I was just reading Jonathan Williams' profile and bio at F1 Rejects (http://f1rejects.com/drivers/williams/biography.html). Very interesting.

Based in the south of France, this continued for the next two decades or so. But in the 1990s, Williams gave up this lifestyle as well. Instead, for the last ten years he has been living in a small motor home with his companion Linda, becoming a writer and photographer, travelling from place to place on a whim. A quiet way to end a professional career which saw him drive for the most famous team in motor racing, and play an instrumental part in one of the best motor racing films ever made.

Does anyone know what he writes about? Any book titles if he's a published author?

Another thing. I also looked at his profile over at http://www.driverdb.com and that states that he took part in a Formula 3 race in Britain in 1994. He was 51-52 years old then... Any explanation?

I suspect it is another J Williams. And the database author has got it wrong. Unfortunately this is not uncommon with internet databases.

F1 Rejects do check their information before posting it so I think we can trust them. If he had turned his back on racing and on his second career as a pilot to mess about as an occasional writer and photographer, it is hardly likely that he would return to racing and be running a racing team is it?

I suspect it is another J Williams.Did Sir Frank Williams' son ever do some motor racing?
He was born in February 1975. His age would fit with a try at Formula 3 in 1994.

An interesting idea. But 19 is young to enter Formula 3, no matter who your Dad may be. And Williams is a fairly common name ...

Interesting to note that Frank Williams' son's name is also Jonathan - and Frank himself were good friends with the "old Jonathan".

His second given name is Piers - I think you know why...

Interesting to note that Frank Williams' son's name is also Jonathan - and Frank himself were good friends with the "old Jonathan".The reason for the first name was indeed that Frank was thankful to Jonathan Williams for giving him his first job as a mechanic.

There are a host of one race wonders. They really cannot be considered GP drivers. What is far worse id people like Adrian Campos, who has 21 races, of being a tail ender.
