The International Race of Champions Series still does not have a sponsor for 2007.
IROC announced Tuesday it will delay the start of its season until a sponsor is found.
That means there will be no IROC race during Speedweeks at Daytona. :s

I heard Tony Stewart would refund his whole $1,000,000 prize, if they would include Eldora on the list of tracks, but no one went for it.

Iroc? Maybe an idea who whose usefulness has finally be worn out. I am faintly amused watching IROC, for it is really just a chance for NASCAR guys to pick up more coin, driving NASCAR like cars on the NASCAR tracks. Now if they were allowed to try different cars out, it would be more of what an IROC should be.

That said, you guys enjoy it, and who am I to knock that? I guess it just is something that I wont miss personally, but I suspect a few people really enjoy.

Someone should take IROC out behind the barn and put it out of everyone's misery.

Stewart offered IROC to run at his dirt track, and even offered the million back

It would be a riot to see some of the drivers race on dirt

Nothing stays the same, everything changes with time.
It is the mature person that can adjust to the changes.

I always thought it would be cool to have one Na$car race on dirt every year, even if the cars had to be provided.
I dont see much difference in doing the road course races.
IROC has lost its luster, it used to sell cars and provide bragging rights now it just takes up space.
