Good on Nick for this one; he is showing that he has bigger cojones than everyone who is moaning about the safety of Formula One.

I'm surprised at DC for his attitudes towards the TC ban. I think he's a super driver but you have to question his motivation if he's starting to think F1 is too dangerous.

He raced in F1 for years without TC so he shouldn't have a problem wih it.

I disagree. I would like to see TC retained in the sport. A form of TC is now available on many cars in Canada and the US, and I think that, by retaining the feature, it helps keep the sport relevant to drivers over here.
But I do understand why it is being removed.

I don't really think that F1 needs to resemble street cars in any way. In any case, besides having four wheels, there are few similarities.

Good for Heidfeld, by the way :)

;) The electronic aids we see on passenger cars are much more of a...

"Safety Net"...

than the traction control systems used in Formula 1.

This report (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/64725) might help explain DC's attitudes a bit more.

;) Ahhh... Whats the worry all about.

:p : Mad Max has gone on record saying...

When driving in the wet... the cars will be driven slower,

sooo... the drivers are at less risk.

:D This year...we will get to see which drivers will...

COWBOY UP

and push the envolope under adverse conditions.

I don't expect that DC will be seen wearing a cowboy hat...

much more likely to be wearing... Mousekitter ears.

:) Driving in the wet ... is nerve racking, even for the best drivers...

Too many drivers have been relying on TC... in both Wet & Dry conditions,

now we will see which drivers have Brass Balls.

Yeah i agree with that i read the report and it seems fair. But I do think even though there will probably be more crashes they will be relatively slow speed ones.

If some of those wet weather crashes we saw last year had happened at full dry race speed they could have been pretty serious.
