ps drop the v8's to national B, just seems the right thing to do as you want to get as many drivers as possible and really liking the road courses, brilliant promotional toll :) lets get sum 20-30 grids :D

If he's racing trucks this year, can you have a thread on here keeping us updated on all the action, ie when he's racing and where, also how he gets on in the events.
I know some people are going to say that strictly it should be in the Nascar forum, but I don't head over there much and besides, being one of our former racers/teams it's a lot more on topic than some of the stuff that's posted here. :laugh:

It's still SCSA related as John was involved with SCSA last year. I don't have a problem with a thread keeping us up to date on his progress in CTS this year.

he has 6 starts in craftsman trucks. led 1 lap and taken home $50,000+ in prize money.

Just to clarify Quorky's comments.

John entered two NCTS events in 2005, Atlanta and Texas, driving for the current (at that time) Truck champions, Bobby Hamilton Racing (BHR). John failed to qualify for the Atlanta race, even though he out qualified all 4 of the BHR drivers on speed. He raced at Texas using a BHR provisional number which guaranteed a starting place in the race.

In 2006 John raced in the last five NCTS races of the season with Torquespeed, using all our own Trucks and equipment. The team/crew moved out to the USA to run the car as a full British team.

So John has raced six NCTS races in total.

Torquespeed are still pursuing sponsorship opportunities to fund a full NCTS season.
