I don't think we can say it enough, but what you do with your tv channel (just like some others), is just awesome. Ten years ago I couldn't even imagine watching for example the italian championship on a regular basis. Also the videos of tests and teams is amazing. He should do very well as the roads are quite Finnish in character. It will also be interesting to compare his IRC performance in S2000 vs. Grp N because he wasn't very quick in Portugal.

I think he wasn't quick against S2000 because of the car he used..

It wasn't his usual car.. it was a rented car..

García-Ojeda should start with Peugeot from Munaretto on Acores, Barum and Valais.

According to Belgian site pitstop.tv the homologation of MEM's Proton S2000 car will take place at 1st of august. They could have done it on 1st of july but they wanted to make best possible choices concerning engine and diff's. ;)

According to German rallysite, Opel will come with a S2000 version off the OPC Corsa. It will be prepared by MSD (Dave Whitehead) who are allready involved with the MG S2000, but with support of the Opel-factury.

Kopecký definitely not with Peugeot. If he will be there than probably only as a zero car but probably he won't be there at all. Solá not with Procar...

Why Kopecky without Peugeot?. Sola (probably) will rent a rallye car, a S2000 or GR. N.

There was never mention that Snijers will be in Asturias. Probably he will drive 5 IRC rally's next year with a Peugeot 207 S2000 from Kronos. This year, his aim is to win the Belgian Rally Championship.

More info on Skoda/Kopecky in the IRC: http://www.rallye-info.com/article.asp?sid=0&stid=7131

I've quickly read through an article in Autonews about Renault and S2000. For them S2000 is (still) not interesting, because it isn't profitable for them. So don't expect a Megane S2000 too soon, unfortunately.

That surprises me.

Because S2000 is largely a customer forumlae, they ought to be able to benefit from a lot of free publicity when the cars are in privateer hands and perhaps even make some profit on the sale of the cars too. Peugeot and Fiat have both sold a large quantity of vehicles which must help towards the development costs.

It seems that first test run for Opel Corsa S2000 want be in Germany but in Ireland. The MSD build Corsa would take zero-car job in coming Cork International Rally on the weekend of 27th and 28th of september. The driver will be Austin McHale. It is believed that the McHale family was closely involved in the development of the new car and that they allready orderd at least one car for coming season. Let's wait and see how the car will perform.
